WWE Vs. WWF

Recommended Posts

Guest GameCop

After WWF was named WWE, everything seemed to have changed.

Eric Bischoff was signed, Goldberg, Lesnar, Stone Cold came back, Goldust got his groove back, Sable came back, RVD went into a Mid - Carder zone, and Ric Flair came back too.

There is no more invasions, DX, NWO, or any other clan for that matter, no nudity anymore (who can forget Mae Young and her YOUNGS).

Much more commentary than usual with WWE, and no more King of the Ring.

So what do you think... what did you like better WWF or WWE?

WWF. I miss the old days of wrestling. I'm talking about the 88-94 style of wrestling. Maybe its just a phase.

Nothing seemed to change much from the standard changing patterns of the WWF. If you're comparing the WWE right now to the WWF at the time they changed their name (with NWO, Flair as Raw owner, no Benoit, etc.), I'd go with WWE.

I'd prefer the days of WWF. Why?

Because it was never predictable to a certain extent. I mean, like the days of DX and when the WW_ went out of it's way to be original.

Now with the WWE, it's all the same. Just rehashed every week.

Everything was fine and fan-fuckin tastic 1999-2001. After Austin turned heel and HHH and Benoit (HHH being the one who carried the company through one of its best years, 2000, along with Rock) got injured and Rock deciding the WWE isn't as important as his movie career, everything started to go downhill. That, and of course the inVasion failing to generate much business.

WWF- I loved 1990 to 94. I lost interest in 95 but quickly gained it back in 96 and stayed a fan til today. But I enjoyed the product more in the WWF days for sure.
