Guest dvkorn Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I just got done watching Clash of the Champions 18, which was in January of 1992. The main event saw, two members of the Dangerous Alliance, Steve Austin & Rick Rude go against Sting & Ricky Steamboat. Paul E. is at ringside. This was a really good match. I may have mentioned this before but i think Ricky Steamboat is one of the best wrestlers ever, possibly the best but that is arguable to say the least. Yeah, anyway, back to the match. i think all four guys did performed very well and put on an outstanding encounter. I loved Rude's selling of the Inverted Atomic Drop. Some really good part in this match. ANd to cap it off this was the 1st ever WCW match that Jesse Ventura broadcast. So, Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura is a very good commetary team to say the least and Paul E's reactions whilst at rinside were really good. Other matches: The other members of the Dangerous Alliance (Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton & Larry Zbyszko) Vs Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windam & Ron Simmons - this was another pretty good match. I enjoyed it. Quite a good Heyman promo. Thomas Rich Vs Vinnie Vegas - Squash. Nash gets the nod with the Snake eyes. Freebirds Vs Big Josh & Brad Armstrong - pretty crap. Cactus Jack Vs Van Hammer - Cactus got a pretty darn good match out of the sack of shit known as Van Hammer. DDP Vs PN News. PN News is a fat rapmaster and is a piece of shit. Crap. Richard Morton Vs Johnny B Badd - Crap Pillman & Bagwell Vs Tracy Smothers & Terry Taylor - This was quite a good match. Pillman is a champion. Vader & Mr. Hughes Vs The Steiners - This was quite a good match as well. It is really amazing to see the steiners suplex & throw Vader & Mr. Hughes (who is about the size of vader at this time) like they do to everyone. Good Match. Overall, quite a good show. All the crap match were all kept at around 3ish minutes except the Nash 1 minute squash. Yeah, so, i recommended that you check it out. Thats all Other peoples thoughts on this show or whatever?? Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Meltzer said it best when he said Vegas looked like the world's tallest parking lot attendant. I remember watching clips of the main event, plus post match assault, on WCW Pro, and I really hated Rude and Paul E for whipping Steamboat. They should have only had these five match on the live 2hr show: Sting and Steamboat v Austin and Rude The Six-Man tag Jack v Van Hammer Pillmam and Bagwell v Taylor and Smothers Vader and Mr Hughes v The Steiners That would have given them all time to develop, and would have kept the crap off the show.
