Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Which sports announcer is your favorite to listen to? Can be on Radio or on TV. One of my favorites is Tom Tolbert. He is very knowlegeable and is funny. I also like how he will call Bill Walton on the stupid things that come out of his mouth. His radio program is also great. I also like the Spanish guy who does all the Soccer games. His "GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLL!!!!!!!!!" Is one of the most enthusiastic, entertaining things in all of sports, and is usually the best thing about soccer.

Guest Bricks Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Bill Walton. Yeah, he says a lot of dumb things at times, but I don't care.

Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Is it me or does Bill Walton have bigger teeth than Baba Booey? Sean Elliot is entertaining and I enjoy the TNT crew. That guy that said GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL at the World Cup was Andres Cantor but now there seems to be alot of spanish announcers doing the same thing. Jim Rome is crazy on the radio with his constant mockery of the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie and of course the clones e-mails.

Guest Lethargic Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I hate most of ESPN's crew. I was looking forward to it moving to ESPN but their color guys are boring except for Walton. Walton is hilarious. My only problem with Walton is that anytime he's on, whoever he's doing it for seem to have to put some guy on to argue with him. NBC put him with Snapper Jones, ESPN/ABC puts him with Tolbert. Jones was worse. It seemed like every little thing Walton said, Jones would argue with him about it and it was so fake. We all know Walton says stupid crap, that's why he's funny, I don't need somebody there to point it out to me. If I wanted to hear fake arguments all night I'd watch Raw. Guest Kingpk Report post Posted April 7, 2003 I enjoy Jerry Remy and Don Orscillo on NESN (the Red Sox's flagship station) as well as Sean McDonnough. As far as basketball, you can't beat Tommy Heinson's tirades ("This ref better go home to his wife since no one loves him here." As far as Michaels/Madden: Yes/Hell fucking no! Guest alkeiper Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Harry Kalas, Phillies announcer. Those outside of Philly may have also heard him on HBO's football recap show, NFL Films, and Campbell's Soup commercials.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Bill Walton makes me want to jam freshly sharpened pencils in my ears. Or, better yet, mechanical pencils. Being a Philly boy, I 2nd Harry Kalas. Listening to baseball will always be hearing Kalas & Ashburn (or, Harry & Whitey to us Philly peeps).
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 MLB: No play by play guys really stick out. I can only really think of Jon Miller (ESPN) and I hate him. I guess the only guys I know are the color guys. I liked Orel Hershiser when he did a few games for ESPN, as well as Joe Morgan. NHL: Gary Thorne and Bill Clement. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Bob Uecker is being inducted into the Broadcasters wing of the HOF this year. Tell me that Bill Clement doesn't sound like Chuck Norris. Thorne, Clement, and Davidson are good on ABC.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Chris Cuthbert and Greg Millen are my favourite HNIC team. Cuthbert is also good for football, too. Dan Schulman is awesome for baseball. Him and Buck Martinez are a great team. I wish they still did Jays games since Rob Faulds sucks.

Guest raptor Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Favorite: Chris Berman, Mike Krukow (Giants Announcer) Least Favorite: Joe Morgan. The man tries to make himself look smart by saying things that are blatantly obvious. Anything he thinks up on his own is probably either wrong or completely retarded. Guest MD2020 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Harry Kalas, Phillies announcer. Those outside of Philly may have also heard him on HBO's football recap show, NFL Films, and Campbell's Soup commercials. Didn't he also do the Narration for a Green Day video a few years ago or did I imagine that? Don't remember the song, but it had a whole "concert as football game" motif. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 7, 2003 No Dave Neihaus love? Break out the Mustard and pickles...Grandma because that one's a grand salami. Or something like that. SKip Carey wad demoted by the Braves. He's doing 90 games on the radio, and 36 on Sports South.
Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 I'll second the vote for Clement and Thorne. With Levy getting the third place vote. At one point I'd have said Davidson, but that was I knew him more from national games. After watching so many Rangers games this year, I realize that he's not nearly as good as I once thought.
