Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 22, 2002 I was at the first use of the new Raw set with the titantron and the pyro in Worcester 2 weeks before WM 13. I think its about time for a change. I remember they almost did it that night Auston "destroyed" the titantron to get back at Vince, but all they did was just add a few bells and whistles to the set. what do you think? Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 22, 2002 The thing with the Raw set is, even though it has stayed basically the same for 5+ years, if you go back and watch Raw's from '97-'98, the set is actually very different. The two trons on the side, the things in front of the curtains, the lighting thing above the ring. All of these things weren't around when they first debuted the set. Guest Rabies Report post Posted March 22, 2002 The reason why the Fed has the ramp is because they want the WWF Superstars to be somewhat "larger than life" compared to the rest of the crowd when they come out. The reason why the ramp itself doesn't extend all the way directly to the ring is because it would be in the way, since the booking of the matches revolve around running and a lot of action going on around ringside itself. I currently love the Raw set. It has held pretty darn tootin' well over the years. My only peeve is how the ramp de-elevates down the floor at ringside. When there's a run-in, the wrestler has make run at half speed to make sure they don't lose their balance and fall flat on their face. Has that ever happened? I wish they would change the name of the show back to Raw is War. 9\11 has passed and we've all gone on. Raw is War is sounds so much better and badass. The current "Raw" logo on everything seems very awkward. It seems they just took the "Raw" part from "Raw is War" and just blown it up. Bring back Raw is War dammit! About the Smackdown! set, I fuck-ing HATE that giant fist. Everytime I see it I think of Mae Young. It's also cheesy. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
