Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Don't ask me what got me thinking this, but it occurred to me that the late Brandon Tartikoff, former head of NBC programming the 80's seemed to do guest spots as himself on just about every NBC comedy. Night Court, SNL, Saved by the Bell, probably Cosby and Cheers too. Does anyone have a count of how many shows the guy showed up on?
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted April 7, 2003 On NBC, pretty much just those three you just mentioned, plus ALF.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Yes ALF, didn't he do Fresh Prince, at least it feels like he did.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Tartikoff was a big fan of being in front of the camera- he left NBC in 1992 I believe.

Guest MDH257 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 The only time I know off Tartikoff being on Cheers was the final episode. After he died, the producers revealed that Brandon was Cheers' last customer (The man only seen in shadow who knocks on the door and is told by Ted Danson that the bar is closed).
