Guest res37618 Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Hey guys, What do you think are the chances of seeing ALL of the WrestleManias released on DVD, much like the VHS box set from a few years ago? I have the box set, and while I appreciate the effort, the video quality is horrible on them. All recorded in EP mode, so as to save tape and money I'd suppose. Anyone heard any word about such a thing? I'd assume it would come out after WM XX in order to make it an "even" number of shows/DVD's, but I'm not sure.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 They could release them since everything after the logo change is already out on DVD. I think they'll do it pretty soon as WWE knows that DVDs are a cash cow
Guest res37618 Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 I think it would be fantastic. I'd LOVE to have DVD versions of WM 3, 8, 10 etc. . the good shows . . I would think, if not overpriced, that they would sell very well, much as the VHS versions from a couple of years ago did. I would mark out if Vince would release some of the WCW shows too, but pigs will probably fly out of my ass before that happens. And AWA, and ECW . . . . he's got SO MUCH that could be release, in DVD quality that would last a lifetime, it's mind-boggling to think about . . .
Guest ViciousFish Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 I hope so. I missed out on the VHS version and the only Wrestlemanias I have on tape are 1, 9 and X-7.
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 ive put off getting the VHS box set for about 2-years now for the fact im waiting for the DVD set. Ive given up hope that the dvd set is coming out.

LaParkaYourCar Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 The WrestleMania 2000 DVD has a WrestleMania History DVD with WM clips and they look really good in crisp DVD picture. I bet the whole set would be really expensive.
Guest tpww7 Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 They could sell it in two sets, 1-10 and 11- 20.
Gert T Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I would assume they would split it up from 1-10 and 11-20 because 20 DVD's would be a huge set, and price for 20 would be probably 250-350 dollars. People would probably would like to shell out 125-150 in two separate occasions instead of how much all 20 at once would cost. Of course, I'd be one of the people to buy all 20 at once! Do you all think the early ones that went 3 1/2 hours and the last four that went close to four would be pretty bare bone with extra features?
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 They probably will be bare bones, but I'd still get them to see the older WrestleMania's in DVD form.
Guest magell Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 That would be awesome if they did. I'd buy them used off of Amazon.

Guest Choken One Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 He owns bits and Pieces...Same with ECW. I Say Have 5 4 Box Sets... 1-4 5-8 9-12 13-2000 and 17-20...Sell them for $89 BUCKS each... Have Special Interviews... Try to any of the Hype for the shows (Commericals, Ads) as you can...
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Sure they could. They wouldn't even really have to edit them as long as they don't sell them in the U.K.
Guest Choken One Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Exactly... u Could release a U.K exclusive DVD like A Divas Box Set or something...
Guest razazteca Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Will the wrestling company have to pay the tree hugging panda lovers money for the logo?
Guest Choken One Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Not if it's North American Exclusive...
Guest JDMattitudeV1 Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 That would be awesome, but I think I would only get the 1-10 set as I already have 16, 17 and 18 on DVD. Seeing as you can't even buy the earlier ones on video now (thanks panda huggers) I would love to get them on DVD format.
Guest Star Ocean 3 Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I'd rather have other pay per views, like the old WCW ones instead.
Guest razazteca Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I want to see Clash of Champions, Starcade, Great American Bash DVDs.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 They could probably do a box set of all 20 and sell it for under $200. They'd probably make more if they divided it into smaller boxed sets, so i think we know how it'll happen. I'd say they release it as soon as the Wm XX disc is ready.
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 5 different 4-show sets. Then add a 5th DVD with all the "special features" from each of the shows in the set. You could get 99(maybe 109 if he wants to break the 100 barrier) bucks each for them, and we all get our special features that half of us will shit ourselves over.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 $100 is too much for for the early sets that would have very little extras. Early sets should be $80 at most. $100 for later sets is still high, but at least they'd have more extras to help make up for it.
