Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Just wondering if anybody here is encountering the same issue I am while playing EWR 3.0. My wrestlers seem to be calling it quits early on, for example I was involving Chris Benoit in a huge, long term feud with The Rock and the unthinkable happens when he turns THRITY FIVE. He retires. Same thing happend to me with Scotty 2 Hotty who i was using in a tag team with Rey Rey. The day he hit his mid thirties he sent in his retirement notice. It is almost impossible to be building up new stars when they're all frikken retiring the second they get a major push. Has this occurred with anybody else?
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Isn't Hogan like, 55 in the game when he retires?
Guest redbaron51 Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I've had Benoit retired, from injury though...
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Isn't Hogan like, 55 in the game when he retires? Hogan lives forever in the game, i know. This was just to find out if anyone else had younger stars retiring long before they normally would be. Benoit retiring at 35 (which im sure he's either now, or close to) is a little unreasonable.
Guest snuffbox Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I also had Benoit retire at like 35, during a push.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Well at least they announce that they will retire at the end off the month so you can give the feud a proper ending.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 One WWE game that I started: Kurt Angle retires the first month Chris Benoit retires two months later Steve Austin retires the month after Benoit Chris Jericho retires two months after Austin. My roster was fucking shot. I restarted.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 Thats really rough Max. I find just trying to maintain the roster split is fucking close to impossible when you only have 2 or 3 big names on the roster. I always have HHH job the belt to someone i feel deserves it then fire him within every WWE game i begin as i cannot stand his bullshit. This eliminates one major heel on the RAW show. I've found the only way to gain some big names that hang around just long enough for you to build up the younger guys (that is, the one's that don't do runners on you when they hit 35, THANK YOU BENOIT YOU MOTHERFUCKER) is to sign guys like Goldberg, Sting & Randy Savage. Eh, EWR 3.0 is like BEING Vince McMahon.
Guest snuffbox Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 Eh, EWR 3.0 is like BEING Vince McMahon.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 Eh, EWR 3.0 is like BEING Vince McMahon. What's worse is you can almost understand the pains he's going through right now. Almost.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 Ultimo retired on me he had the lightweight title. So I had him put over Jody. Gave him a retirement segment at the end of the match. It was touching. lol
