New stable and/or tag team

Guest Austin3164life

The nWo angle has pretty much been put to rest, after Hogan's departure.  X-Pac's entrance might bring back a bit of heat, but it's safe to say it wont last long.  What the WWF needs is one very solid heel stable, who can lay waste to all who oppose them.  I was talking about this with a friend, and he liked some of my ideas.  I was thinking, would anyone here have a problem if Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and possibly Brock Lesnar formed a heel stable?  Austin would be the paranoid yet crafty wrestler he used to be, Benoit would be the Silent Assasin, Angle would remain the nagging dork he is, and Lesnar would be the up-and-coming monster heel.  Plus, Lesar's association in this stable would help his presence get more known in the WWF.  Managing this killer stable (which, to me, should be on Flair's side) would be Paul Heyman himself (who will actually act as their bookers too).  Austin as a heel is better as a face, Benoit is great as a heel, Angle has been having tons of heel heat lately, and Lesnar has good heat for a newcomer.  I seriously think a stable like this could work, if Heyman manages and books their product.  It would be a heel stable, but who's to say this group can't act as a counter offensive against the nWo, since Flair detests them so?  I think this kind of group (with these four great workers) would work.  What do you guys think??

from the lesnar/heyman thread on monday:

Yes O'hare and Leviathan. most definetly.

Maybe they can add Shamrock in there. He wants to return and have a limited schedule and can have Heyman talk for him.

Have them just annihilate people. Theyve got enough enhancement talent to feed to them for a while. Dont have them be prtrayed as shooters or anyhting like that, Just play them up as a new breed, more intense type of wrestler. I think the crowds would eat that up.

I think a new stable would be great especially ig they were portrayed the way i said above and had Heyman as the annoying mouthpiece to make sure they:

1)dont get cheered

2) have someone to talk for the guys that cant

No need for Austin in there. If they book Lesnar like Vader yes. Shamrock would be good. Benoit and Angle  yeah why not.

Give Paul a mobile to use as a weapon and bring back Madusa as well. :D

How about an all heel MIDCARD Stable bare with me on this

Steve Blackman:  The silent assasin who would attack guy before the match with a kendo stick

Mike Awesome:  Big agile monster who powerbombs people

Tazz:  The brawler type who destroys you with Suplxes

Lance Storm:  The techincal master

Christain:  The cocky blonde/punching bag (everyone needs one of those hehe)

There are two people I can think of right away that could be the voice of a heel stable.

Mike Sanders - WWF has him on contract unless they let him go which would be a huge mistake.

Steven Richards - Anyone who watched ECW in the mid 90's knows that Stevie is awesome on the stick.  Too bad the whole Right to Censor thing was composed of shitty mid-carders.

I have been saying this for the longest, Ravens Flock and the REAL Dudley Boyz could get over as major heels.

If the Duds lose those stupid tables, and just get to being ultra stiff assholes that cut some mean promos, they would be the most over heel tagteam in years.  And I don't mean a stupid storyline, standing on the stage promo..I mean a good ol' ECW, Pulp Fiction, Screamin in the camera promo.

And Raven...dude, this is just TOO easy.  It worked in ECW...It worked in WCW...it would work in WWF if they gave it a chance.

Jericho, Storm, Test and Christian is probably the stable that I'd most like to see.  You've got guys who can tag together when needed, technical wrestlers, high flyers, guys who wrestle stiff, and the requisite big guy.  Throw in a Don Callis or Jason Sensation type as your manager and you've got a kick-ass Canadian heel stable, which pretty much guarantees at least some cheap heat in the US.

Hmmmmm...I kind of like the "Ultimate Break Stuff Squad" idea.

Ken Shamrock - 'cause he's in his zone

Sean O'Haire - maybe he could punk out Billy Gunn and bring Palumbo back from whatever planet he's been vacationing at since WCW folded.

Brock Lesnar - put him in a tag with O'Haire and resurrect the division, or just let him beat the crap out of everyone in sight

Scott Steiner - no need for a manager, just give Scott the mic and have it be Steiner and his genetic freaks...maybe even have him whopp 'em with a lead pipe everyone in a while to keep them in line

It would put the words "'roid Rage" in an entirely new light.

I got excited 2 months ago when it looked like the WWF was gonna have Jericho, Storm, Christian and Test form a Stable. They could of been called the CANADIAN MAFIA! But of course, WWF refuses to push Storm & Christian with anything good so I'm still waiting for my good Canadian wrestling. Benoit needs to hurry up and get back...LoL

Matter of Fact, I think I'll pop in my RFVideo Bret Hart Shoot. At least I get some old School Calgery Stampede Wrestling. Just for the Record, where the first Ladder match was really done.

Test would kill the heat dead.

Maybe they can team up The Big Slow and HHH, and they can run rampant through the Fed with their slow, methodical brutality. They can even tweak their gimmicks so their boy scouts or hunters who like to camp out alot, and they can come out with camping gear and backpacks. Then they can call themselves...

Two In Tents

[let the groans begin]

SK made an interesting point when the Duds turned on Stacy on RAW. It's possible the DUDS become part of Heyman's new stable along with Lesnar.

Personally, I think when Rhyno and Benoit come back, you stick them in there with Lesnar and the Duds and you'd have  a pretty formative stable.

Like Storm and Christian would help matters. They both are heatless like Test is and by much of the same reasons too.

I've really had enough of the Dudleys being heels. Nothing could really convince me that they should remain as heels, so turn them face already. I never got the big deal with them in ECW anyway, all of their heat back then came from Paul E.'s never-ending push and from the fact that Buh-Buh just cursed out front row fans for cheap heat... bleh....

Test has less heat than Storm and Christian, and Storm and Christian arre hindered by bad booking.

And Test is a victim of bad booking, too. Oh, that's right... you only see things through your own jaded, rose-colored viewpoint, my bad.

They tried to feud Test with HHH. No one cared. They tried to feud Test with Rock. No one acred. They made him the Big man in the Aliiance. no one cared. No one cares about Test!

I don't recall them ever giving Test retribution for the whole marriage debacle. As much as I hate him, I feel that if he would have gotten some revenge on Trips that he wouldn't be the heat killing machine he is today!

They tried to feud him with HHH? You mean those 3 squashes?

They tried to feud him with Rock? You mean the 4 day stopover when Rock him squashed twice on TV after Test beat him down only once?

The Big Man in the Alliance? You mean that huge group of midcard losers and a paranoid Steve Austin that were constantly the WWF's bitch?

How can people care about Test(or Storm and Christian for that matter) if they have been protrayed as nothing more than jobbers? Your "theory" is so full of holes it's not even funny. The entire midcard outside of RVD(who seems to be slipping into the same trap) is full of nothing but revolving door pushes that get NO ONE over. Again, you only see thing through your own rose-colored viewpoint.

On a sidenote: CIMA LIVES AGAIN!!!! Thanks for the hook-up, goodhelmet. I gotta admit that Ares was fucking with my head too, heh...

I've gotta agree with APO here, Anglesault. That's why I'm so opposed to Angle jobbing to Friggin Edge since Edge hasn't been built up much better. I mean, Edge jobbed to Regal three months straight!!!!!

(Also Anglesault, don't know how you feel about South park, but look at the Angle character. It has to be better than the Christian Toad...

Arn Anderson, and Flair have an argument.

Anderson decides he's sick of Flair, and politics, and that ever since Flair's become part owner he's turned into a coward, he then stomps off.

Next week Flair is in the ring rambling on about how his show won't have any poison like the NWO in it, and how he wants to give the fans good old fashioned wrestling without thug gangs runing around, and egotists stealing all the spotlight blah blah he says he does it all for the fans as there all that matters since they made him what he is.

Double A comes down and starts going off on Flair and that Flair should just shut up, and let him do the work, since he's always had to do the work for Flair blah blah.

Flair pretty much tries to make peace, but as he goes to try to shake Double A's hand..BOOM chair shot to the back of the head, it's Beniot just back from his injury who of course then puts Flair in the crossface.

Then as Flair is whining in pain Beniot rants about how Flair abandoned the Horsemen and now the Horsemen where going to run his show whether he likes it or not.  Anderson delivers a kick to the in pain Flair for good measure, and the two raise the four fingers (why not..maybe it would pull some old wcw fans back in..who knows).

So Double A would act as a manager, and Beniot in kinda his old enforcer role.  They'd recruit Lance Storm, and need to throw in a big man but can't think of many worth crap maybe the Taker even though he kinda sucks, mostly do to his fued with Flair, these recruitments would happen in the next couple weeks.

Then finally at the next PPV they'd bring in the forth member, the guy to take the role that was once Flair's, and it would be none other than Jericho, or Kurt Angle..whoever needs to be saved from mid-carder doom more at the time as well as whoever's on Flair's show.  Lean towards Jericho since he's more like Flair back in Flair's prime except a better wrestler.

And Austin would be the Horseman's main fued since it looks like he'll be on RAW.  Edge, Booker T with a face switch, and others would be likely fueds all depending on whose on RAW.

but..Stephanie would have nothing to do with the angle at all so it would never be written.

I can dream..can't I..

i think the nWo still has a chance to become a dominating force. Someone else mentioned this earlier but im gonna say it too Raven would be so easy to get over as a heel,it worked extremely well in ecw, It worked great in wcw before EVERYTHING went to shit there and it could work in the wwf, if they would just give it a chance, and keep any and all mcmahons away from it. I remember when Raven started with the wwf i was so pumped that they would do the flock angle but nothing happened, oh well he is still one of my favorites i hope they do something with him after the split.

Aww, I liked that fat Christian Anglesault! Bring him back!

Er, anyway, Test should not be in any stables. There are plenty of big men with better wrestling and mic skills to use ahead of him.

The problem with making a Stable like the Flock or even a bunch of guys like Raven, Saturn, Dudleys and Brock Lesner w/ Heyman is the fans won't take them serious if they don't get to feud with the "Top" names in the company. Plus, from all the backstage crap and Politics we all been hearing I doubt any of the "Top" names would be doing the "Job" for them.

I think a stable consisting of Kurt Angle, Ken Shamrock, Brock Lesner and Mark Henry would be good. They could go around and talk about how they are the only REAL athletes in the WWF. Angle has olympic experience as a wrestler, and Henry has olympic experience as well. Lesner is a former great amateur wrestler, and Shamrock is a UFC fighter. Henry and Lesner can go around bench pressing wrestlers while Angle and Shamrock can go around breaking wrestlers ankles. Sean O'Haire could be a part of the group as well. He's won 17 Tough Man competitions and has a background in kick-boxing and shoot fighting.

I don't know why, but I think if a Stable is going to work, it needs a resident tag team. Not two guys in the stable that they throw together. I mean like the Outlaws to DX, Edge and Christian to the Corporate Ministry, that sort of thing. With the Austin/Angle/Benoit/Lesnar approach, you've got three ME'ers and an absolute monster.

Maybe I'm wrong. But I figure a stable should have a leader, a tag team, and at least one other midcarder around. All ME'ers all the time wouldn't work.
