Guest Lethargic Report post Posted April 8, 2003 The list of the current TV shows that are renewed for next season, cancelled or on the bubble... God I love that show. It's my favorite cop show since early NYPD Blue. After watching three back to back to back episodes a week ago I really came to the conclusion that this is my favorite show in a long time. So I knew it'd end up getting cancelled. I just think it kick ass. Great writing, great acting, great everything. There's no bullshit like the other shows. There's no away from the job crap. No love interests or anything. Just murder and death. If anything the two stars of the movie are the crime and the city. Everybody else is just there to support them two. I can't say enough about it. It's gotten better every episode.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Canceled (or near death) Andy Richter Futurama On the Bubble Fastlane Well that sucks because I'm sure this was the last chance Andy Richter's show had. Too bad it never got an audiene I really liked it. Doesn't Fox still have a bunch of finished Futurama episodes to show before cancelling? I hope Fastlane survives...I enjoy the show. They need to move it off Fridays. Does Fox still not understand that Fridays are instant death?
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Apparently not. Especially for shows like Fastlane & Firefly. Doesn't Fox have any "old people" shows that can be stuck in that timeslot? And I'm sorry to see ARCTU go, too. It had a neat unique sense of humor, and a good ensemble cast.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted April 8, 2003 I hope Fastlane survives...I enjoy the show. They need to move it off Fridays. Does Fox still not understand that Fridays are instant death? They don't understand this because X-Files did quite well in the Friday 8pm slot. Somehow that's translated into "every show should do well there"
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Andy Richter Futurama I don't want to see these two go. Funny, funny shows. Cedric the Entertainer- Watched it a few times, and it was so unfunny that I only ended up watching for about 8 minutes. Fastlane - Watched a few times, it's OK. It's starting to grow on me. Grounded For Life- I love this show, and would be sorry to see it cancelled. Underrated show. Oliver Beene- Eh. It's OK, but nothing spectacular. If they moved Futurama here, they'd have nothing to worry about. Wanda At Large- SUCKS. SUCKS. SUCKS. Why do people consider her funny? I don't understand why. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Buffy isn't getting canceled, it's ending its run on its own. How the hell is Drew Carrey still on? I thought that show was already dead. I saw an ep a few years ago and didn't come close to a laugh, which sucks, cause it use to be very funny. And I was pissed that Grounded for Life went to the WB, I love that show and don't have WB. Guest Max Danger Report post Posted April 8, 2003 I'm just hoping, like Lethargic, that Dragnet gets picked up for another season. Love that show. Other than that the only one I'm really pissed about it Miracles being cancelled. Great show, but poor management of it by ABC(but what's new?). I'm positive that Angel will be picked up after Mutant Enemy talks with the WB execs. I read somewhere(probably aintitcool.com or zap2it.com) that they would be meeting with them to discuss the plans for the fifth season.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Yeah, I think Angel will get picked up, too. Supposedly it's just being held up over negotiations with cast members, but it seems like that'll get smoothed over.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 8, 2003 I hope Angel's back. thewb.com doesn't have it listed as a show that's coming back though. This season's been alright, but not the note I'd want the show to end on.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I give ENTERPRISE one more season. TNG and DS9 GENERALLY found their legs around the third season. If it sucks next season I won't much care if it dies.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Sabrina, The Teenage Witch Damn. That show's STILL on the air? Well, it will not be for too much longer, but, damn, I thought it was cancelled years ago. Too bad I really do not watch tv that much any more.
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Angel, please stay, please please.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Sabrina moved to the WB after ABC's TGIF totally folded. It's pretty much been little more than a place holder since moving.
Guest HHH123007 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 How is the Jaime Kennedy Experiment on the bubble? The WB must be screwed...
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I think Andy Richter has a deal with one of the other networks for a show.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 They'd better renew John Doe damnit. I stopped watching Boston Public a few weeks ago, so I don't care about it. According to Jim is hella lame.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Canceled (or near death) Ed This is really the only show I have any serious interest in. I hope it's able to survive. Mmmm, Carol Vessey
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Dragnet Practice, The I really hope ABC doesn't cancel these, they are the 2 best shows on that network.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I kinda like Ed...in a wussy tv show kinda way. It's not bad. John Doe didn't stand a chance on Fridays
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Boston Public started off great, but half the original cast is gone and the storylines have become one sermon after another. It just doesn't have the appeal it once did. The show that appears to be dying that I am going to miss the most is Ed on NBC. Great stories, very likeable characters and it is consistently my favorite hour of TV every week. I was about ready to puke when I found out it was getting shifted to Fridays (aka- Death Row). Apparently I wasn't the only one that saw inevitable doom for Ed. They've been running a storyline that normally would've stretched over a year. Instead, its been fast-forwarded and slammed into a 4-week window. I'd say the writers/producers have a story they want to get told and they realize that the writing is on the wall that this is going to be it timewise. I dunno, I'm hoping for a miracle in that maybe the show will somehow survive or get picked up elsewhere. In the meantime, I will watch on Friday night and keep my fingers crossed after that. EDIT: Wow, two other Ed posts just in the time I'm typing this. Where was all this support before the show was DOA?
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I'd love to see Boston Public get bounced. That's the fakest show on tv right now.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Hopefully "Grounded For Life" gets picked up; I am in love with that show. So, uhm, when is "Dragnet" even on? I've never seen it advertised.
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Dragnet is on Sunday nights at 10 on ABC. At least that was the debut slot. I dunno. Maybe that got moved to Death Row too.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted April 9, 2003 They've been running a storyline that normally would've stretched over a year. Instead, its been fast-forwarded and slammed into a 4-week window. I know. When Carol started full-on pursuing Ed, my first thought was "Wow, they're sure hot-shotting *this* angle..." EDIT: Wow, two other Ed posts just in the time I'm typing this. Where was all this support before the show was DOA? Hey, don't blame me. I've been watching since the 1st show.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 9, 2003 A few thoughts: If Boston Public gets less preachy it'll be OK, but they've bareboned that cast so far that it's basically "If the old man leaves, I'm gone." I thought The Drew Carey Show was already gone since it hasn't been mentioned in months. Dragnet BETTER stay on the air. That show rules. What about Whose Line Is It Anyway? Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Im gonna be watching even less network tv next year. All you need to do is read about some of the proposed new series that the nets have for next fall and you can see why. A sample from a yahoo entertainment article: And it doesn't get much more unreal than ABC's 111 Gramercy Park, a New York-based nighttime soap about the residents of a ritzy building in a downtown NYC neighborhood (it's home to Julia Roberts in real life). Among the residents: Frank Langella, Brittany Daniel (That '80s Show), Joel Grey and, yes, Jaleel "Steve Urkel" White. Alicia Silverstone heads up NBC's Miss Match, playing a lawyer who moonlights as a professional matchmaker. and rapper Bow Wow (apparently he's not so "Lil" anymore) stars as a high school teacher in a new WB sitcom. NBC is doing an update of The Monkees; UPN is making a "hip, modern" version of Hotel (Hipper than James Brolin and Connie Sellecca? The hell you say!); Fox is redoing Mr. Ed, produced and written by Saturday Night Live "Deep Thoughts" author Jack Handey. At ABC, there's a sitcom about an heiress (Jenny McCarthy) who loses her inheritance (but keeps her shirt, unfortunately) and has to live like "regular" people. The only show that sounds even remotely interesing is "Matthew Modine is a forensic psychologist in CBS' Expert Witness" but that seems too much like every other CBS show thats on right about now. http://tv.yahoo.com/news/kp/20030405/10495...53536000_1.html
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 9, 2003 God...Oz is over, Buffy's ending, Angel might not come back, only 1 season left of The Sopranos, and The Shield's done with till next year... TV sucks
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 9, 2003 About the only stuff I watch that is on network TV: CSI Without a Trace Law and Order 24 The Simpsons Smackdown And the saddest thing is I watch CSI, 24, and Smackdown off of Satellite Wild Feeds.. The only show that I've watched that was on the cancelled/bubble list was Push Nevada, and Damn ABC to hell for jobbing that out to CSI on Thursday nights. It was a very good show (and I have all 7 eps on tape..). I haven't been able to watch Buffy since it moved to UPN, since we don't get UPN here (although we do but its in a digital format that I cant pickup)

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Buffy's over and that is just about 100% of my basic TV show watching. Everything else is movies, wrestling and sports.
