The card of a lifetime part ii

Recommended Posts

Guest Zoltan

Because of the overwhelming sucess of the 1st I've decided to make a 2nd.

From a soldout Pontiac Silverdome with 92,763 people

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan calling the action at ringside

Among the fans you can see Payton Manning, Marshall Faulk, Reggie Miller, Sly Stallone, and Jesse Ventura in the front row.

Because we are in the Silverdome we bring back the ring carts to take the wrestlers to the ring.

*Note* all wrestlers are in their prime.

Opener for the Undisputed Cruiserweight title:

Justin "Thunder"Lyger © vs "Fly'in"Brian Pillman in a return bout:

unlike the first match between the two they start on the mat trying to wear the other down using various submission hold like stf's, surfboards, camel clutches etc... but as it progresses the pace quickens but as Pillman misses a crossbody to the floor, Lyger throws him back in the ring and puts him in a dragon sleeper but Pillman doesn't quit and as he tries to make a comeback Lyger reverses a suplex attempt off the top into a sunset flip to retain his title at 33:12

rating:****1/2

3-way elimination match for the Intercontinental  Title:

Dean Malenko © vs Eddy Guerreo vs Rey Mysterio Jr.

Eddy tries to hit a frog splash onto both men but both put their knees up and then Malenko puts Eddy in the Texas Cloverleaf while Rey goes to the top and leg-drops Eddy in the back of the head forcing him to submit at 27:44

With Dean and Rey remaining they turn up the pace as it becomes Malenko's skill against Rey's speed and agility. But as Rey tries to hit a spring-board top rope hurripanrana Dean turnings it into a powerbomb to pin him at 39:59 to retain his title

rating:****3/4

For the Undisputed US Heavyweight title

Macho Man © vs RVD

RVD pins Macho Man at 22:34 after a ***** frog splash to win  the Undisputed US Heavyweight title

rating:****1/4

For the Undisputed Hardcore Title in a Barbed Wire rope, Bed of nails, Thumbtacks, fire around the ring, C-4, and glass death match

Cactus Jack © vs Terry Funk

After a wild and bloody brawl Jack throw Funk off a ladder through glass onto tacks, barbed wire, nails, and fire at 18:33 to retain his title

rating: ( for match quality) ** but for entertainment ***3/4

In a  H e l l in a Cell TLC match:

Dudley Boyz vs Hardy Boyz vs HBK and Razor Ramon

Dudley Boyz win after pinning Matt after powerbombing him from the top of the cell through it onto 2 tables at 29:12

rating:****1/4

For the Undisputed Tag Team Titles:

Demolition © vs Brianbusters

Arn pins Ax after a DDT at 21:20 to win the Brianbusters  the Undisputed Tag Team Titles

rating:***1/2

In a 60 minute iron man match:

Owen Hart and Bret Hart vs Dynomite Kid and Chris Benoit

Benoit makes Owen tap after the cripller crossface at 22:30 to take a 1-0 lead

Owen pins Benoit after the rocket launcher at 38:55 to even the score at 1-1

Dynomite pins Bret after a croos body by Bret off the top is rolled through at 48:21 to take the lead at 2-1

Bret makes Dynomite submit in the sharpshooter at 58:56 to even the score at 2-2

(going to sudden death OT)

Benoit passes out in the sharpshooter at 68:45 to give the win to Bret and Owen

rating:*****++++++++

In a ladder match:

Chris Jericho vs Lance Storm

Storm wins at 29:43 to show that he is the best Thrillseeker

rating:****1/2

In a special 3-way dance:

Jerry Lynn vs Super Crazy vs Tajiri

Lynn pins Crazy after a top rope cradle piledriver at 22:15

rating:****1/4

For the Undisputed Heavyweight Title in a 2/3 falls match:

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs Ric "Nature Boy" Flair ©

Steamboat pins Flair after a dragon suplex at 29:32 to win the 1st fall

Flair makes Steamboat submit at 44:12 in the figure four to win the 2nd fall

Steamboat pins Flair by contering a body slam into a small package (ala WM3) at 58:22 to win the 3rd fall and win the Undisputed Heavyweight Title

rating:*****+++++++++++

Again I'd like feedback.

not to be a ball-buster, because your card is certainly awesome but ...

The Silverdome is in Michigan; why are three athletes who play in other cities there?  Stallone makes sense because he's Stallone, so his being anywhere makes some level of sense ... and Jesse has his WWF ties, plus Minnesota's not too far from Michigan.

Only Manning actually plays there, Reggie plays for the Pacers, Marshall is in LA, and Ventura he has to be there. I wanted to put Arnold S. there but I can't spell his last name. But people will watch it for the card, not the celebs. And for tazmission86 I think that the card you put together is great but I don't like the main event too much because you have Austin vs Angle in an "I Quit" match but we;ve seen them battle so much before and I'd put Angle against someone like Shamrock and Austin against some else but still would be a great match, but I'm worried about crowd heat for your main event.

I can't ever get enough Austin vs Angle, and I felt that they never really had a good blow-off match. I think they should've had an "I Quit" match at WrestleMania, so I stuck them in the main event, since I'm running the show. I don't think the crowd would be too bad, because if they weren't tired by the time Vince vs Eric, HHH vs Funk, and Flair vs Jericho went down, they'd be the new spokespeople for Energizer.

I guess your right about the blow off. And lol to the energizer joke. But I really would have liked to seen Shamrock against Angle. And maybe put Austin vs Hogan

I understand your position on this but I think that Hogan vs Austin wouldn't be a good techincal match but like Rock/Hogan it would have huge crowd heat and Austin might still feel bitter as Hogan and his friends held him and others down in his time at WCW.

What are Jericho and Storm fighting for in the Ladder Match?  What is it that they are trying to get?

Mainly about respect and proven themselves. It's for who was the best "Thrillseeker"

Yeah, but's up on the ladder for them to grab.  Why would they risk themselves in a ladder match, just for respect and not for a title?  Easier just to do a respect match with the loser shaking the winners hand and telling him that he respects him.

Making a respect match was an option of mine but I chose ladder match because I wanted to see these two in a ladder match rather then a respect match.

They aren't trying to grab anything, in this ladder match the ladder is legal and you can win by pinfall or submission

As I read your card, I noticed that you were missing Bret Hart, what match would you put him in and against who?

zoltan, a couple qualms with your card:

putting a flair/steamboat match & a pillman/lyger match on a fantasy card is kind of self-defeating, cause it already happened.

why waste shawn in a spotfest with 5 other people when you could put him in a better singles match that would tell a story & make sense?

where's steve austin?

a lot of people put benoit & dynamite in the same match on fantasy cards, but why?  i think it would get really repetitive with the offense

i posted my fantasy card in a topic a while back, it was something like:

89 ricky steamboat v. 94 owen hart: 15 minute mat-wrestling clinic, steamboat wins clean with some crazy reversal

mid-90s toshiaki kawada v. mid-90s benoit: japan-style match, kawada wins with a GANSO BOMB

97 hbk v. 2000 triple h, ladder match: could probably top the first ladder match, they'd think of some other inventive way to end it with trips going over

89 flair v. 97 austin, 'i quit' match: after 25 minutes austin gets totally disinterested in making flair quit, just wanting to beat the shit out of him; he stuns flair 4 times in a row, stuns the ref, says 'i quit' & walks off; flair does a stretcher job

97 kenta kobashi & mitsuharu misawa v. 90 steiner brothers: steiner brothers go over after kobashi takes a top rope frankensteiner & a screwdriver at 45 minutes

97 heel bret hart v. 01 face kurt angle: big epic match, like summerslam 01 meets summerslam 92; bret runs chest-first into an exposed turnbuckle, angle follows it up immediately with a moonsalt for the pin

I don't like Bret Hart, so he goes away. Maybe I'd put him in a match with Mr. Perfect, since those were great matches, but I wouldn't go out of my way to put him in there. Owen was a much more well-rounded wrestler that included high flying stuff and much more charisma.

GodDog:

1. I think that Shawn would do well in that match and look at my first card of a lifetime and you can find Shawn in a good match.

2. I didn't want SCSA on my card of a lifetime as I am biased because it is my card and I just didn't want him there like HHH and the Rock

3.I think that we SHOULD see as many Liger/Pillman and Steamboat?Flair matches because they have such great chemistry and they produce AWESOME matches

4.I put Benoit and Dyno on the same team because them against Bret/Owen would be great as they are all great workers and Dyno adds so arial aspect to the match

5. I think that your card is pretty good as well.

and tazmission86:

I can respect your opinion and that is an arguement that is brought up many times because Owen did have more charisma and was a better high flyer.
