Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I preface this with the fact that I know that wrestling's not real, and it's all planned out in advance, but there are just some things that bothered me about Nash's return ... 1) How did he get by security without his limo being checked? 2) If he WAS stopped by security, why couldn't the announcers find out who was in the limo? 3) Did he bring a CD from home with his theme song? And a DVD with his entrance video? 4) What if the heels DIDN'T attack the faces? Would he have just left and come next week and hoped for an excuse to run in? (ooops ... walk in) 5) Does he always wear his "wrestling gear"? Sorry if that's too anal retentive, but I just so prefer the old-fashioned "guy runs in from the fans in his street clothes" kind of return. Wrestling is too busy being theatrical to make sense ... and it makes NL5 sad.

Guest SP-1 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 They may explain it as Bisch hired him secretly or something. Which makes even less sense but it would explain the song/video being prepared in advance.
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted April 9, 2003 if Nash jumped the railing..... well... I don't think it needs to be said...

But isn't the Bisch a heel? And Nash a face? Maybe since VKM is a face on Raw, he coordinated it. But ... nah, there's not way to explain it and still make sense. Guest magell Report post Posted April 9, 2003 1) How did he get by security without his limo being checked? Security probably did check 2) If he WAS stopped by security, why couldn't the announcers find out who was in the limo? Security doesn't always talk to the announcers. 3) Did he bring a CD from home with his theme song? And a DVD with his entrance video? Why wouldn't WWE have all the theme music from all times on a master CD or computer? 4) What if the heels DIDN'T attack the faces? Would he have just left and come next week and hoped for an excuse to run in? (ooops ... walk in) He could have beat the heels down on the stage or in the ring after the fight. 5) Does he always wear his "wrestling gear"? He knew that he was coming down to wrestle. Hope that answers your questions.
Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Erm...he was in his wrestling gear?!? All I saw was him wearing plain blue jeans and a black t-shirt...I was sorta expecting his silver/black Diesel getup complete with black glove myself though
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted April 9, 2003 i wanted that damn Diesel costume.... I don't like Nash at all but if he would have had the jet black hair, the black/silver tights, the glasses, the glove... I would have marked THE FUCK out... you know I always do something "THE FUCK" ...cause I am *YOUR* sex god

Hope that answers your questions. 1) I'll give you that one - but it was the only way to ask #2. 2) So, the people who are renting the arena for a live broadcast can't send someone back to find out who was entering the arena, potentially against their wishes? 3) Wouldn't this CD (or CD collection) have to be never-ending, to include every living former WWE (and WWWF and WWF), Japanese, and other random indy guys? 4) I don't think just randomly attacking heels that you have limited beef with is a good way to return. 5) He didn't wrestle ... he defended his friends. Questions unanswered.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Wasn't that Nash's new music and a new video, though? He never wrestled a singles match in WWE before the quad injury and always came out to the nWo theme/video. So is he still mad at HHH for not joining the nWo? Or did something happen that we don't know about? It'd be dumb to base their feud on something that happened when they were playing different sides of the heel/face spectrum than they're playing now. That'd be like Kane starting another feud with Jericho over the coffee incident. Anyway, WWE programming is just loaded with logic gaps. I think it's one reason business it down, among many others. Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted April 9, 2003 (announcer voice) Disbelief will now be suspended HIGH ABOVE THE ARENA FLOOR... Should Vince McMahon win the match...Logic MUST RETIRE... Should Logic win....he will be fired on the spot by your NEW COMMISSIONER....Al Wilson~!
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Why does Scott Steiner wear sunglasses indoors? Where is Parts Unknown? How did the Whore Family... Uh, excuse me, Hart family always sit at ringside. Did they just buy their tickets as soon as humanly possible something?
Guest Bricks Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Maybe last week, when Bisch was talking about someone signing a contract he was really talking about Nash thus he can get by security. Sure he was on Raw already, but weren't contracts all open when Bisch came in, so maybe Kev was unsigned? Anyhoo, Nash talked to Bisch saying he was coming late next Raw, so they got him some music and video entrance. And he was originally going to come out at the end to talk to the crowd. I'm just reaching here.

Guest ViciousFish Report post Posted April 9, 2003 A long time ago I quit thinking there was an belief for the WWE. Right about the time that I turned 10? I think that was about the time. '91 had some really shitty gimmicks that really ruined any belief.
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Why did his music play during the run in? This is something that pisses me off every time it happens. Have a guy run in, do his beatdown, and THEN play his music? Fine. But to play it to announce his arrival on a SNEAK attack? Doh.

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Doesn't JR need to give 2 weeks notice about quitting? In which case Bisch should be able to keep him on hand and humiliate him. How did Grenier go from Evil SD! referee to wrestler? How did Bischoff get Steve Austin's truck? I can accept he bought a replica of his vest--but come on! Isn't Chief Morely wrestling and being "Chief of Staff" a clear conflict of interest?

Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 9, 2003 If Hurricane knew he didn't have a match, why was he wearing his wrestling gear? Did he plan on running in the whole time? And if Jeff Hardy didn't know he had a match, why was he wearing his face makeup? Does he just walk around in it? When did Steven Richards go from being Victoria's bitch to telling her what to do? And why do wrestlers act like the ropes are preventing them from going up the ramp to confront someone at the top of the ramp? Here's my favorite though: Do they schedule the 20-minute interviews? Does HHH tell Bischoff beforehand that he'll need 15-20 minutes to talk? If not, are they cutting matches from the card in order to allow the 20-minute interview and still finish the show in 2 hours? Are Christian and Maven watching the monitor going, "Shut up, HHH! They're gonna axe our match!"

Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Doesn't JR need to give 2 weeks notice about quitting? In which case Bisch should be able to keep him on hand and humiliate him. Bisch said he was fired after JR walked out. I guess he's sticking by that. How did Grenier go from Evil SD! referee to wrestler? Vince gave him a contract in return for helping to screw Hogan. How did Bischoff get Steve Austin's truck? I can accept he bought a replica of his vest--but come on! I'm guessing the same way Austin got the truck in the first place, just custom order it. Isn't Chief Morely wrestling and being "Chief of Staff" a clear conflict of interest? I think that's the point of having him do both.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Once you figure out that people are getting punched in the face 10-20 times a night and showing no damage from it, you stop worrying about little crap like theme music being played for a run in. You run a fine line when complaining about little things like that since you're about an inch awat from becoming the wrestling equivilant of a Trekkie. Complaining about larger running themes like Jericho teaming with Triple H after all this time are far more cringe worthy.
