LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony

Now watch them just draft some guy from Turkey at 1.

You could do a lot worse than Darko Milicic at #1. He's been compared to Larry Bird...and he's only 21.

So, based on the NCAA tourney half of you would draft Carmello first? Do you think that LeBron would go in the tournament and get shut down or something? Lebron and Anthony played before, and LeBron lit him up! Arguably, Carmello is a better player (and one that I don't think there is too much basis for). But, even if he now, he won't be in a year or two. So you would take the better player (for a year) on an already mediocre team for what reason?

LeBron will put fans in the stands now and Natl. TV games (Anthony won't do either, not anywhere close to the LeBron level) and banners in the rafters in a few years.

I don't think it's just based on the tournament, it's just that people may not have been able to see Syracuse on TV until the tournament. Plus, the tournament is the big stage, moreso than some reguilar season game against, say, Virginia Tech.

But using that logic, you're saying LeBron is better based on the 4-5 high school games he's had televised. And Carmelo busting up top-level D-1 competition is obviously more impressive than LeBron busting up some high school kids.

Finally, when LeBron and Carmelo faced off, they lit each other up. LeBron had 36, and Carmelo had 34. But keep in mind Carmelo was playing at Oak Hill, a basketball factory. He probably had four or five teammates who were going to go on and play D-1 hoops, so he couldn't dominate the ball like LeBron can since LeBron's supporting cast is weaker.

No, I think LeBron has got better skill all around regardless of television. I got to see plenty of him even without the Natl. television games.

Most people are saying that Carmello had a good tournament (no denying that) and that is it regarding why he would be better than LeBron.

LeBron playing High Schoolers is almost unfair, but he practiced against the Cavs last summer (that's what got Lucas suspended for a few games at the beginning of the season) and he handled them pretty well too. I don't think LeBron is going to set the league on fire for 30, 10 and 5 like some people think, but I don't think he'll be stuck on the end of the bench either. Almost a guarantee that he will start in the All-Star game next year regardless of stats, which will further prove that fans by and large are stupid when it comes to voting.

I know Antoine Walker is whiny and a little pudgy, but I'll take Employee #8 anyday.

I'm gonna say Anthony will be a better rookie, but James has better potential overall. It's all going to depend on who gets the first pick and what they need. If the first pick happens to go to a team that only needs a piece or two to make the playoffs (like a Chicago) then they may elect to go with Anthony. If the team with first overall needs a whole team makeover, then James is the way to go because he'll at least get noteriety with his showmanship. That is the one thing LeBron has over Carmelo. Flat out atheleticism and showmanship.

Quite possibly...but I don't build teams based on possibly. I deal in facts.

What the hell team have you built?
