I like him, im feeling the "Quality" album eventhough Hi Tek didn't produce it, and even radio stations in my area are actually playing "Get by" during the day and I saw the video on MTV. I think He's a underrated rapper because his association with Mos Def and people want to compare the two. Any thoughts?

Kweli's got some skills, Quality is a top album and Hi-Tek was underrated in my opinion.

He's very good. I've meant to pick up the album for a while now. He also has a great guest spot on the last Roots' album, in the song "Rolling With Heat."

I've had "Quality" for a couple of months and I like it, especially the first three tracks ("Rush", "Get By" and I forget the third) and "Guerilla Monsoon Rap" with Pharoah, Black Thought and Kanye. It took me a minute to get used to his flow, but that boy is nice.

Allow me to dissent and express my great disapointment in Quality, a terribly dull, unfocused effort from a very talented rapper. That said, Reflection Eternal was one of my favorite albums of 2000.

"Guerilla Monsoon Rap" with Pharoah, Black Thought and Kanye.

When I grabbed the CD book and saw three of some of the illest lyricist (Pharoah, Black Though & Kweli) on one song...I got excited as hell.

The damn chorus kills this song for me. I cannot tolerate that blantant "Market me cause i sound commercial" chorus. It sounds horrible. If they dropped that lame chorus...this song would be damn near a classic.

Anyways.....pretty good album. Not as good as I expected. My favorite song is that track called "The Proud" That is one of the best produced songs i've heard in a while....

The beat, the timing, the lyrics, the flow and even the small breifings makes this song a classic in my book.

I may be in the minority in not liking Quality, but is anyone with me in thinking what a waste Mos Def's appearence is?

Man your not the only one.

Why Mos had to be on the sappiest most generic sounding song on the album?

Its good to embrace ya kids and all....but Kweli could have used Mos on something else too.
