Tough enough 2 thread

What does everyone think of Tough Enough 2 so far?

I think it's going really good. The only problem is that I can't indentify with the people like I did with the ones in Tough Enough 1 for some reason. I dunno why. Maybe I just have to see more of them.

One thing I have noticed about the show though...it seems like they have someone new to complain about every episode. Last episode it was Linda this week it was Alicia.

Yeah, it looks like the Megapowers of Alicia and Jessie are about to EXPLODE next week.

 

Actually, I think they'll both go relatively soon. Jessie for her (lack of) size, and Alicia for her poor workrate and reluctance to give Al Snow head.

 

The whole jock strap thing had me rolling on the floor! Especially when they all locked up and did headscissors and stuff. Al Snow's reactions were priceless.

 

Overall, I think the men's side will come down to Hawk and Jake. Considering last year's, they seem to be the ones with the right size and look. The smaller guys may have more skills, but we all know that shit won't fly in Vince's world of ogres and giants.

 

As for the ladies? Toss up between Anni and Jackie. My money's on Jackie, since they haven't really focused on her yet and they seem to feature people early on in the series who don't make it in the end.

 

Of course, if Jessie wins, I'm throwing my hat in the ring next year...

Well.....what about Danny? The guy is in the best shape of anyone there(aside from maybe Jake) and seems to know what he's doing. Plus he has the best attitude. He may make it.

It would be cool if he did, but I'm not holding my breath. In Vince's world, size does matter, and  Danny looks about as tall as Tazz (I could be wrong)

 

They kinda did the same thing last year with Greg, how he was a last minute replacement and I was  sure he would come out the winner. But he didn't. Plus Danny looks too average looking. Even that other little guy Pete has a better look and would probably fit the Fed's mold better.

 

I'm just looking at the overall odds, and Danny falls a bit short...

Danny looks like a goddamned oompa loompa. Jake better win for the guys. That's the bottom line. Unlike Maven, Jake has the look of a wrestler.

 

As for the women, Alicia seems as if she would turn out to be the best wrestler but the real little Ivory loving bitch will prolly win, get some new big tits, and go on to gravy bowl matches so that Jerry Lawler can dry fuck the announce table until he nuts in his underwear.

Remember guys, there will not be a female side/male side winner.  It is whoever is the best, be it two females, two males, etc.  I distinctly recall someone from WWF say that.

 

apparently next week both Alicia and Jessie have health concerns.  alicia still has problems with her back, and Jessie is rumored to have a heart issue.  There is a pic at MTV.com which shows Jessie having her blood pressure checked and Alicia having her back looked at.

Right on. Greg would have one though I bet, he just had to leave because of his back. He is still wrestling though. CZW has tv in my area and I've seen him wrestle twice. I think he is the only guy who wasn't in the TE finals who still wrestles. Where is Taylor anyway? Is she done with wrestling? I haven't heeard a #### thing about her.

i havent gotten into it either.  the novelty for me wore off after TE1, and the new people wont be able to emulate maven's success anyway, as they would be doing the exact same thing he was, and nobody will care.  also, they arent totally pimping it on tv either like the first series, and how many green wrestlers do they really need?

Ok, this just had me laughing maniacally for several minutes. Actually, Im still in tears as I write this. Too funny..it was actually just the "nuts in his underwear" part. Too funny...-JM

I haven't gotten into it either, and I think the reason is that it's just too much like the original.  The people are different, but the training in general is the same, which is kind of boring.  Half the fun for me the first time was seeing them expose the business a little, showing how they teach them to take bumps, that kind of stuff.  Now they're just going through that same stuff again, so it's not new or neat anymore.

 

The other thing is that reality shows only really seem to have replay value when the people themselves decide who to cut.  Then with each cast there's a whole psychological game that keeps me interested.  Survivor is the perfect example of that, the dynamics are a little different each time.  Of course, they can't do that with Tough Enough, so they have instructors make the cuts, which takes the suspense out of it, since you always know that the bad people are going to be the ones that get cut.  No novelty plus no unpredictability equals boring show, imo.

Kenny I thought would have a good shot until I saw the previews that show Hardass Holly stretching him and telling him he better learn to respect him. With Linda being booked as the heel and Robert being gone....it doesn't look too good for the black castmembers. BTW....why don't they haven't any Latinos on the show? Racism I say!
