Guest MDH257 Report post Posted April 12, 2003 I'm not really sure, but I know there can only be 5 nomminees if a certain number of films are qualified to be nominated. I don't remember the numbers, but last year there were only three nomminees for Best Animated Feature. This year there were more animated films, so there were 5 nominees. I also read that The Hours was disqualified from consideration for Best Makeup after they found out that a computer was used to make Nicole's fake nose look more real.
