Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Just curious if anyone else picked this up. I was really impressed with how much they cleaned up the first game. Here's a list of improvements to it: - you can buy multiple items at once - everything is retranslated - the plot has been fleshed out with added scenes (ex: it shows the bridge being built) - the battle system works more like FF IV - you can see if equipment improves your stats when your buying it - characters can now have 6 letter names - spells are described when your buying them - your characters aren't moved to the bottom when they're poisoned, etc.

Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Yeah it's a remake of the first two games. I've only played the first one so far but they've added a lot of plot development and gotten rid of a lot of the tedious little things to the game.
Guest KoR Fungus Report post Posted April 12, 2003 I'll be buying it as soon as I can get out to Best Buy/Walmart. Perhaps today. It sounds totally awesome, and the nostalgia is going to be off the charts since FF1 was my first RPG. Does it let you save in dungeons? I hated losing to Chaos and then having to go all the way through the Temple of Fiends again.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted April 12, 2003 You can memo it in a dungeon. So you can't quit in the middle but you won't lose everything if you die either.
