Guest Downhome Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Now I'm bet that some of you already knew this, but I didn't so ignore me if you did. I just found out that Phone Booth was based on a short film directed by Paul Hough, 2001, titled End of the Line. It's only 15 minutes long, so it wont take too much of your time to check it out. It's pretty good if you are into short films of the such, and if you have seen Phone Booth, it makes this all the more interesting. Hell, even if you haven't seen Phone Booth, then check this out as a sample of what the deal is. Here is the link... End of the Line ...this is over at IFILM, a site that I hang around at very offten. So check it out if you want, and let me know what you think. I just thought some of you might like this, so there you go. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 cool to see...bad acting though.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 I don't think it was based on End of the Line, the script for PB was written a while ago
Guest Downhome Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 I don't think it was based on End of the Line, the script for PB was written a while ago End of the Line was actually scripted and filmed (1996) before Phone Booth, it just didn't really get released untill 2001 I don't believe.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 The idea for Phone Booth has been hanging around since the 60s.
Guest Downhome Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 The idea for Phone Booth has been hanging around since the 60s. Well I'm sure this idea didn't just come up in the past few years, I'm sure many have thought of this concept before. However, Phone Booth WAS based on this short film, End of the Line.
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I thought I saw a movie very similar called Liberty Stands Still with Linda Fiorentino and Wesley Snipes. Is this based on End of the Line, too Downsyndrome...I mean, Downhome?
