Guest Downhome Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Ok, I know it's big news that Mohammed Aldouri (I believe that is his name) has left New York in hopes of going back home. His main reason being, he hasn't heard from his family since the war began, but I happened to notice this. On Fox News, they were showing the interview he was giving getting in his limo to leave, (in which he said to the Iraqi fighters that they need peace, no more war), and as we went to his limo, he turned back around before getting in it and said "Hey Richard, good luck!" and then went up to the man and hugged him with big smiles on their faces. The Richard he was saying goodbye too, was what is said to be his favorite reporter, a reporter from CNN. Now on Fox News they showed his "speach", then went back to the newsroom and then REPLAYED the end part of it, just to show and to pinpoint the man saying goodbye to this Richard. After they showed it, the Fox News anchor simply said... ..."Ok folks, I'm not even going to touch that one!" I just found it very amusing that Fox News would do this, trying once again to make CNN look like morons, and very partial towards Iraq and the such. Did anyone else notice this one? Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest SP-1 Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Ghey. Not the thread, but how Fox apparently handled it. I don't really have a reason to have beef with Fox, but anytime I've tuned into them for War coverage it's been entertaining but not really informative. Kinda like watching WB's morning show only with better production values. I'd take CNN over that any day.
Guest Crazy Dan Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Sometimes it feels like Fox is a lil too much "rah, rah, rah USA" for my liking. I just feel that Fox sometimes is not as objective as I would like. Also, does anyone else find it tacky for Fox to run war highlights of the week, set to this uplifting music. This was The Daily Show's moment of Zen a few days ago. I have to agree with Spider that Fox seems like they are trying to go for more entertainment, than information coverage of the war. And I don't blame them, the more entertaining, the better the ratings. But, I rather be informed, so I will read the paper and watch CNN.
Guest MD2020 Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Well, of course the Iraqi UN guy said a special thanks to CNN. They've helped cover up torture and murder for years--check out JOTW's thread below. I usually flip between CNN and Fox. Fox may be a little more entertaining, but going between both of them you can usually get the whole story. However, Fox definately has CNN beat when it comes to hot female anchors. Laurie Dhue=Ratings.
Guest Downhome Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 I ONLY watch Fox News and MSNBC, not more CNN for me (except for Larry King and Crossfire, I do still watch those shows).
Guest Krotchenjudge Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Fox News = owns your moms. Bill O'Reilly is the bizomb. Fo cheez, Krotchenjudge PS: Communist news network can stay over in Baghdad for all I care, treasonous bastards!
Guest Powerplay Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Fox News = owns your moms. Bill O'Reilly is the bizomb. Fo cheez, Krotchenjudge PS: Communist news network can stay over in Baghdad for all I care, treasonous bastards! Who the hell are you and what did you do to Kotzenjunge?
Guest Anglesault Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Fox News = owns your moms. Bill O'Reilly is the bizomb. Fo cheez, Krotchenjudge PS: Communist news network can stay over in Baghdad for all I care, treasonous bastards! Who the hell are you and what did you do to Kotzenjunge? Well, duh. That's Krotchenjudge. Kotz is dancing in the OAOAST.
Guest Krotchenjudge Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Um, go to hell and die. Because my views differ from your pinko commie crapaganda?
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Yes, your semi-fascist neoconservative views are quite absurd. Now go to hell and die. Or go back and subdue yourself by watching more of the Ministry of Truth's productions.

Guest Tyler McClelland Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Great comeback, Troll. I agree, ban please.
Guest Krotchenjudge Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Truce? In Peace, Krotchenjudge
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Sure, if you stop trolling and contribute to the conversation.
Guest Krotchenjudge Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Just because your view (Wrong/left) and my view (right/right) differ, is no reason to label me a troll. Fo Life, liberty and the pursuit of those who threaten it Krotchenjudge
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 No, the reason why you're labelled a troll is because you ripped Kotz's name in some OAOAST joke and came here spewing radical right-wing stupidity.
Guest MrRant Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 I thought I was the only supposeded evil nationalistic, right-winging, kill them all, bigoted, let the poor die asshole here. Or so I've been told by people who don't know anything about me.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 At least you make an occasional point which is remotely valid.
Guest Crazy Dan Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Just because your view (Wrong/left) and my view (right/right) differ, is no reason to label me a troll. Fo Life, liberty and the pursuit of those who threaten it Krotchenjudge How is being on the left=wrong and right=right? Please explain that to me? I am just curious how you came to that conclusion. Albeit there are some idiots who are on the left. But there are some complete nut jobs who consider themselves on the right. To label everyone who doesn't share conservative ideals as wrong, is very intolerant and ignorant. What makes this country so great, is that you have different ideals and opinions comming together. When you only have one, it makes a country weaker and it is steps towards a totaltarianism. You are not wrong to be obviously conservative, but your attitude does not help the matter. Accusing people of being commies just stupid. People will always have conflicting views, even in times of war. But to put down those who share different views than your own, is ignorant.
Guest MrRant Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 to put down those who share different views than your own, is ignorant.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 I don't put you down because you're a conservative. I put you down because your takes on certain issues are rather absurd and insulting.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Laurie Dhue I hate her with almost as much zeal as I hate Linda Cohn. I usually watch Fox News' "Speical Report" and O'Reilly and CNN's "Crossfire" political alerts. When election night comes around I'm flipping between CNN and Fox...
Guest Vern Gagne Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Ghey. Not the thread, but how Fox apparently handled it. Kinda like watching WB's morning show only with better production values. I'd take CNN over that any day. Like CNN or MSNBC wouldn't of done the same thing. It's all part of the ratings war.
Guest MrRant Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I don't put you down because you're a conservative. I put you down because your takes on certain issues are rather absurd and insulting. How is it absurd? It would be absurd to you because you don't think the same way. I never said I was a conservative either.
