Undertaker interview

transcript courtesy of PWTorch.com:

Undertaker was referred to by his real name, Mark Calloway. The first question was how much longer will The Undertaker wrestle? They touched quickly on a decade of destruction a few years ago and how it is still going. Undertaker says his whole thing is, if he can continue to hang with the Lesnar's, Triple H's and Angle's, why should he retire? He says that even though he's made his money and has headlined, he can still play a positive role with the company. Before he leaves the business, he would like to give back and help other guys make money that he has been able to make. He then reiterates that as long as he can hang with the top superstars, he has no reason to leave.

Taker was asked who his toughest opponent was, and he said Mankind. The host said those matches took years off Mick Foley's career, and Taker agreed that they probably took more time off Mankind's career.

Taker also gave honorable mention for toughest opponent to Bret Hart, because with he had to work hard to adapt to working his style. He feels that Bret had the ability to bring something else out of The Undertaker character because he made him stop brawling in favor of actual wrestling.

Undertaker said his favorite match was The Hell in the Cell with Shawn Michaels. Taker said Shawn Michaels took a lot of punishment, and for it's time, nobody had ever seen anything like it before. He called it a turning point for psychology in the business.

The final question asked for Taker's thoughts on WWE's brand extension. Taker said it's a great idea, because with four hours of product a week, guys were getting burned out. At this point in the interview, The Rock dropped by and said hello, then left.

Undertaker went back to the brand extension question, saying that it helps young guys get an opportunity and keeps the established stars from getting burned out. He also said the storylines don't get stale as quickly because of the brand extension.

Help guys make money like him you mean like how he helped DDp or Palumbo or O'Haire great help he has always given to the guys who need a rub.Undertaker annoys me to no end i've always had a problem with his character even now its lucky if he sells i would personally think its very unlikely that he will ever decide to give young guys the rub.

I guess Taker thinks that simply by having a match with the younger guys is enough of a rub for them. They should be 'honored'.

From reading this, I'm guessing Taker will be around for at least another five years.
