Guest The Amazing Rando Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I loved this show...in fact I still do.... it's not on as much as it used to be, but I always tried to watch it. Share the memories....if you have any...about watching "The Wonder Years" My favorite moment... Kevin sitting under the tree in front of Winnie's house as she sits inside sick and slightly mad as "My Girl" plays and the scene fades to black I CRIED. EDIT: I still have a crush on "Winnie" .... Danica McKellar is still running around "The West Wing" ...but she is hotter as the cute little teen that I fell in love with...that was my perfect girl...
Guest Downhome Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 One of my favorite shows of all time, and it IS my favoirte drama type sitcom or whatever you call it. I have so many memories of this show, I wouldn't know where to begin. More than once, yes more than once, it made me cry when I was younger.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I like my sitcoms to be humerous. So I like the funny episodes. Especially the ones involving Wayne and Kevin. The home movies when they had younger kids, but Jack and Norma looked the same was funny.
Guest Choken One Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 This show makes me sad sometimes...I still never saw the final eps...
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I cried during the episode where Winnie starts hanging around with some older guys, and she gets in a car accident. Then at the end of the episode Kevin crawls through her window and Winnie says "I love you Kevin". That was deep, deep shit.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Memory lane is such a sweet sweet place...at least in this vein
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I Wonder Years. Hopefully, it will be released on DVD at some point. In the final episode, when he says his dad died, I got choked up.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 i think it could be on DVD...though I'm not sure.... I saw something about it listed at IMDB...DVD Details was a link...but I didn't check it
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I could never get into that show. Little girls like Kevin Arnold could never get a Winnie if their life was on the line...that was just stretching.
Guest Scuba Steve Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 The final episode is scheduled to be on, in my area at least, on ABC Family monday at 11:30 am est.
Guest red_file Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 His first day of high school always stuck out in my mind. Thinking of the crazy woodshop teacher who wanted to arm-wrestle him always brings a smile to my face. A good show that grew to annoy me rather quickly. But it small doses, it was enjoyable.
Guest Crux Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Wonder Years was an awesome show to grow up watching--hell, I still love watching reruns.
Guest Choken One Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 It's re-airs on Monday Morning...Make sure to take a lunch break at that time...
Guest The Tino Standard Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 The episode with Winnie moving out of the neighborhood drew tears from me when I watched during its first run on ABC. And I dunno, it must be a coincidence or something... but whenever I watch the final two=part episode, it somehow seems to get dusty in the room EVERY SINGLE TIME. Crazy how that happens...
Guest C-Bacon Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I have "The Best of the Wonder Years DVD", although all it is a bunch of clips with the full last 2 epiosdes. It's hard watching the ending without getting a little teary-eyed Everyday after school around 5 years ago, me, my sister and dad would watch the show. Good times.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 The last episode was one of the best series finales ever. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Paul going to Harvard. Wayne taking over the family buisness. The dad dying. And Winnie going to Paris, and her and Kevin writing to each other every week, for 8 (?) years. Then saying he was there to pick her up from the airport.....with his wife and kid. Man, that was an emotional episode.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 that is such a spoiler.......
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I love how back in junior high, everybody said Marilyn Manson was Paul... that was some wild shit. Speaking of the Wonder Years, is that Oliver Beene show the biggest rip off since Webster or what?
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 that is such a spoiler....... The show's been off the air for a few years now...
Guest edotherocket Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Whatever happened to that really hot French girl in the show. Man, she was really hot.
Guest NoCalMike Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Realistically Kevin would have given up on Winnie by about sophomore year in highschool. Kevin was all about Winnie and pleasing her and such, however Winnie would be totally in love with Kevin one week, then the next week she would "meet someone" and just trash Kevin. Add to that, the fact that all sorts of other hotter girls wanted Kevin throughout his highschool years. Well, even with all that distraction, I still love the show to death. Although I truly believe it was a million times better before Kevin Arnold got into his last 2 years of highschool. I also wish his sister Karen wouldn't have moved out cause I thought she was a great character.
