PUBLIC RELATIONS WRITING ASSIGNMENT

 

Assume US lost war w/ Iraq. You are President Bush's media advisor/Pr person. What plan do you propose (3-4 ideas) to allow the President's image to survive re-election

Idea #1: Give out tissues so your prof and others like him can clean up the semen in their underwear.

Idea #2: Rip up all current laws of the country, economics, and logic and switch to socialism.

Idea #3: Give solemn speech claiming America is a failure because we are imperialistic, greedy, evil, Christian men who hate Blacks, Jews, and Muslims and dicriminate against women all the while ignorign the fact that our enemres are actually those things and we aren't.

Idea #4: SHINING HAPPY PEOPLE HOLDING HANDS!

and If America lost the War then the obvious thing For the President to do would be to call for increased military spending, andperhaps even putting America on War Footing(I.E. factory hours longer, rationing, the draft,etc.)

I was reactign to a stupid assignment. Why bother going through this thought process when it didn't and wasn't going to happen? Why bother with fiction, how about dealing with reality. I hate goofy left-wing assignments like this because I don't think like those people. I use crazy things like logic and common sense.

Thanks for the suggestions, men. I'm seriously toying with the idea of turning in a more sanitized, stretched-out version of Some Guy's suggestions out of spite, but I'll probably come up with 4 very general ideas and work the suggestions you guys gave under them.

 

The prof's idea behind the US losing the war was basically some kind of massive suprrise attack/ambush, his lack of knowledge of anything about our military outweighed only by his contempt for it. It's not just the guy's leftist idealogy that puts me off (hey--tht's college for you, deal with it), but he's just such an overbearing asshole, and just a generally miserable person. He's not the guy you'd want as the spokesmen for your team, basically.

 

I hate college.
