I saw this on Friday, and don't get me wrong. I loved it. I thought Jack rocked the house as Dr. Rydell. I'd list it as the fourth best comedy I've seen this year behind:

1) Old School

2) Shanghai Knights

3) Head of State

Nicholson carried the movie, I think. His Buddha quote was pretty funny (I've actually never heard that joke before)

One thing that bothered me:

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

The ENTIRE thing was set up by his girlfriend cause she thought he MIGHT be mad. That felt a little cheap and lazy, IMO.

Overall tho, I found it enjoyable.

It is the best comedy in years in my eyes, see my thread about it for more. :D

Yeah, the movie would have been MUCH better without that lame ass "it's all a setup" shit at the end

I thought the spoilered notes helped make it better to me, but to each his own. It would have worked fine without it.

I thought Nicholson was definitely the highlight of the movie, myself. The opening made me think it was going to be another typical Sandler film which, while they're funny I'm getting tired of. Thankfully it's somewhat of a departure from that, at least in some ways.

I like it, though.

I liked John Turturro the most in this film.

The film was pretty funny, but that ending just did not work for me AT ALL. It came across to me as a rewrite.
