Is THAT funny? No. Is it funny that he's saying we're nowhere near Baghdad when we're firing pot shots at it's skyline? Yes. It's hilarious, mostly because the people see him on their TV's spouting it off while a US Marine walks by outside their arena.

 

Bullshit being discovered and the dawn of truth is humorous. Not maliciously against the people but righteously against the bullshitters. That's more where we're coming from.

I wish they would have gotten a shot where they show the Information Minister saying there are no Americans in Baghdad...then the camera zooms out and you see the 120 millimeter gun from an M1 Abrams tank pointed right at his forehead.

 

And I'd watch the sitcom, but it needs a catchy title. How about "Honey, Where's My Information?" or something. I suck at titles, I'm sure someone else can run with the idea.

This to me scores about 9.5 on the Unintentional Comedy scale. This guy has a serious case of "loser denial". Of course he is probably doing what he supposed to do. But, all he is doing is comming off as someone who is in his own little world. But if I do recall, after the first Gulf War, Saddam in his radio address said that Iraq had been the victor. So the Information Minister's actions should not come as no big suprise. And it does provide comic relief, from an otherwise grimmer topic.

Rumors have him dead via suicide, I also heard on the FNC that someone with sources said he was in the restaurant where the US dropped 4 bombs destroying it. I guess that was around the time he disappeared.

 

I personally don't believe there were ever any bombs dropped in Iraq that caused significant damage and especially on that restaurant, even if there were bombs dropped on that restaurant all who were inside suffered not the slightest injury despite a huge crater being left. All the stories that say otherwise are just pieces of propaganda perpetuated by liars and infidels who shall have their tongues ripped out and burned by Allah.
