What's the bloodiest match you've ever seen

The Midnight Rockers-Somers & Rose match up from the old AWA, back when it was on ESPN.  Michaels blades himself silly, the ring and their tights were more crimson than their original colors.

Is this the same included in HBK's DVD ?

and my vote goes for Taker - Brock, Hell in a Cell, No Mercy 2002.

Favorite Blade Job: Ausitn @ WM 13. Classic Moment.

I REALLY Can't think of any GROSS ones, but at Starrcade 85 I think, Magnum T.A stabbed Tully Blanchard in the face with a broken piece of wood and he started gushing blood. That was the end of the match so I don't know how bad it could have gotten.

I've never really thought about this one. But, off the top of my head, my favourite would have to be Austin at WMXIII. Probably followed by Cactus at KotDM95, he bled a lot, there.

Pat Patterson and Sgt Slaugther in a bootcamp match at MSG. My god when Patterson wins you can see the camera get a closeup of the Sarge's face. My god blood was like in his eyes and it was running off the side of his face. Patterson was bleeding pretty good too.

the Jericho Bladejob when he had the broken arm was pretty amazing indeed, he was completely red, pretty awesome.

my favorite of all time tho, is when Austin was locked in the Sharpshooter at WM 13 with his face covered and dripping blood.

honorable mention to TAker at HIAC vs. Brock. He probably didn't mean to bled so much, but it ended making the match alot more enjoyable.

I can't believe only one person has mentioned the cage match between Tully and Magnum TA. That was bloody and violent as hell. Blanchard even bladed his arm in the early going.

And I have to throw in the dog collar match between Piper and Valentine at the first Starrcade. Piper blades his ear and his whole face is soaked red starting from the ear. He even does a great job selling it, by stumbling around off balanced and Gordon Solie mentions how the ear is tied into balance and equilibrium. Great pyschology.

To this day, I've never seen that match before,

but in 1996ish, there was an ad in GamePro magazine which offered 12 issues of WWF Magazine w/ a "Greatest Matches" video for free, so I ordered it. As it turned out, the Patterson/Slaughter Boot Camp match was advertised on it along with Piper/Goldust, HBK/Razor SS95, Hart/Perfect SS91, and UT/Yoko RR94. So, the tape comes in with the match advertised ont he box. However, it's nowhere to be found so they chucked Hart/HBK from SurSer92 and Hart/Diesel SurSer95 to replace it. But damn, was I disappointed. BTW, all of those matches were clipped, JIP, or both.

Taz v. Bubba Dudley at Hardcore Heaven featured a manly blade job by Taz. Towards the end of the match Taz was covered in blood and he kept trying to clear it out of his eyes, everytime he tried to clean himself off it kept pouring out and would stream off his arm with every wipe.

One of my favorite photos ever is of Greg Valentine after what I am thinking is an NWA match, in which he's triumphantly holding his title and the blood is dripping from his hair all over his torso. Valentine looks deformed in said photo. I think the book it's in is called The Pictorial History of Wrestling. In this same book, there's photos of Abdullah the Butcher carving up Carlos Colon's face with the microphone, and in the crowd with Antonio Inoki and (I think) Jumbo Tsruta.

I thought it was lame when Ron Bass jumped Brutus Beefcake and cut his forehead with the spurs, circa 1990. The act had a big "CENSORED" sign over it, making me think that the Beefer was gushing blood...until I saw the photos in WWF magazine. My friends were all like "Dude, look at that, that's crazy" and I had to tell them that I'd seen much bloodier and that Beefcake was a wuss.

-The Manny Fernandez/Invader #3 match is pretty gross.

-The Tai Pei death match between the Rottens almost turned my stomach because of the broken glass.

-Combat Zone Wrestling is just fucked up. I have a video of this match with Ian Rotten against some guy I don't know where they're cutting their foreheads and arms open with scissors. The lights go out and Axl jumps into the fray before cutting a promo talking about ECW and how Paul Heyman's a greedy Jew bastard or something like that. The guy they just about killed was covered in blood and he was holding up his sliced up arm with muscle tissue coming out of the gaping wound. I personally draw the line on this kind of stuff. What the hell does cutting your opponent up with a pair of scissors REALLY have to do with wrestling anyway?

-I had read an interview with Fonzie in which he talked about how Beulah McGillicutty smacked him a little too hard with that frying pan and he almost bled to death as a result. Maybe he was just playing it up, though.

-The Dusty Rhodes/Tully Blanchard cage match at Starrcade is a true classic, along with the Piper/Valentine dog collar match. Gordon Solie does such a good job calling that match. I just wish my copy wasn't clipped.

-The Mass Transit match disturbed me when the video camera zoomed in on the blood squirting out of that kid's head.

-Let's not forget Sabu's bicep getting cut by the barbed wire in his match with Terry Funk for the ECW title either.

That other person would be Mad Man Pondo, another deathmatch wrestler with less wrestling talent then most yardtards. They were doing the standard hardcore "cut another person with scissors" spot, except no one had told them that the scissors had been sharpened, and the two of them sliced the fuck out of each other. Disguisting as well.
