Guest RedJed Report post Posted April 14, 2003 I have a hard time figuring out if having less matches on ppv now is a good thing or bad thing. If the right matches get the right time, it works. But as far as from the workers perspective, it totally sucks for them since such a small amount of the roster gets on ppv now and so many are left in the cold. That being said, if you MUST subject us to Hogan vs. Piper again, can it wait until Vengeance or so? That way it screws fewer worthy workers out of a PPV spot? Bored 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2003 Rock vs. Goldberg - booking will be the key here as I doubt Rock can get that good of a match out of Goldberg but if booked right it could at least be entertaining. Hogan vs. Piper - this will be the typical old man street fight we've seen. No wrestling, blade jobs, ** match. Question who will they drag out next for Hogan to fight or maybe they'll have him put over a couple of younger guys like he did with Angle and Brock last year. HHH/Flair/Y2J vs. Nash/Booker T/HBK - this match symbolizes everything to hate about the WWE. HHH and HBK won't have to return their jobs and HHH can move onto to that huge, money making feud with Nash. The only good thing that can possibly come out of this is it will probably also lead to a Booker T/Jericho feud that was teased a few months ago but never had a payoff but unfortunently it will be in the midcard. Lesnar vs. Cena or Benoit - Undertaker buried Cena this past week so I think their crazy to put Cena in there against Brock when absolutely no one will buy Cena as a legit threat. The match would be heatless and could kill Brock's heat. I hate putting Benoit out there as just another placeholder #1 contender to lose yet again but I think they have to at this point. RVD/Kane vs. Dudleys vs. Storm/Morley - bleh, the RAW tag division is just so incredibly horrible and I seriously don't care about this match. Team Angle vs. Mysterio/Tajiri - yet another thrown together tag team but oh well their match this past week was good and given some extra time this will easily be the best match on the card if they don't go with Brock/Benoit. Matt Hardy vs. Brian Kendrick - I think this is a good idea if they have Matt retain. I personally hate Kendrick's bouncing, babyface routine. I think have Matt hold on to the title and for a while and have him duck a rematch against Rey until SummerSlam where Rey goes over. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Well he's even a bigger hypocrite if he does drop the title to Nash because supposedly the whole idea of him beating Booker was to have him be strong for Goldberg. HHH is dropping the title to Goldberg in June and Nash will take his spot to feud with Goldberg on RAW while HHH finds a way to get himself on Smackdown to bury Brock at SummerSlam. Considering that only they and Team Angle are the only regular tag teams on Smackdown I think they have to wait off before putting the titles back on Los Guerreros. Back on topic: I would love to see Eddie v Matt at Backlash or on regular tv. Brian Kendrick does not deserve a spot on the card. They should just do the 3 way with Matt/Noble/Mysterio that they had this weekend. Don't forget to add O'Hare v Rikishi in a Kiss My Ass match. Any predictions on the PPV buys? The Six Man Tag house show match didn't seem so bad and They had the right idea with less Nash. Nash is good for a Hot Blowoff and interviews and that's it and I think WWE is smart in doing that until he gets into a groove. I might be the only one here but I think if Booked right...A 30-40 MINUTE match with Flair, Jericho, Booker, HHH and HBK would be a great match. Yes Politics will reign all over it but if We put on our Mark goggles...It might not be so bad. The card seems too short...I'm expecting at least two more matches...'Taker and Jones Vs Palumbo and Stamboli is likely and expect something like Jeff/Stevie to be thrown on there. Rock can carry Goldberg with good planning and booking and Rock WILL oversell it like crazy for his buddy. Team Angle Vs Team Crazy Shiny Pants, Has looked good these two weeks and I think if they give them 10-15 minutes it could steal the show... Lesnar-Cena is the obvious Route because I really don't see the point in having Cena call out Lesnar for two months and get nothing, not even a squash out of it. Why use Benoit as a Sacrifical Lamb...Just throw Benoit Vs Rhyno or Maybe an #1 contender match with Los Guerrenos just for fun? I am amongst those begging for a Kendrick Heel turn but not yet...If he turns now, It won't mean anything...Have him come DANGEROUSLY close to winning over Hardy...Have him and Mysterio strike up a friendship over the next few weeks...and Tag Team them...Show them as good friends...Then at J.D with a Hardy Vs Mysterio Title Match...BOOM! Kendrick returns with his Spanky persona but isn't called that. Piper-Hogan? Call me crazy but I suggest Saving that as a Special Attraction for the first SD exclusive PPV...Just let Piper do a Pit every other week and then sign the match for Vengence. Perhaps SOH Vs Rikishi but I am thinking that was a one week deal...I think Piper and SOH will be a combo deal... I am still waiting for the SOH "Hogan is a Hyprocrite" Promo...
