Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 15, 2003 A few notes...READ THIS FIRST! --First up, is Choken One, who will be selecting for the Cincinnati Bengals. --Once he has chosen his pick, he will post it HERE on the board. --I suggest everyone also post a short explanation on WHY you chose that player specifically (team needs, lack of depth, etc.) --Once Choken One has drafted, the next poster on the draft list, may post his pick, and so on. --I will continuously post draft updates in this thread ("Who's drafted Who"), as to eliminate the need to search through older pages. Here is the current order, by which we will draft by. If anyone still wants to be removed, I will fill their place and draft within a default position (the best fit for the team). You may also click on your representative team, which will lead you to your team's NFL Draft TEAM PAGE (courtesy ESPN.com). There, you will find specific information on what your specific teams lacks going into the actual draft. 1. Cincinnati Bengals - Choken One Terence Newman, CB (Kansas State) 2. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Oh, come on, 9 sacks last year and you guys are hurting at LB. Hmm.. Newman (if I can get him) or a 10-year guy? Decisions, decisions.
Guest Tyler McClelland Report post Posted April 16, 2003 You won't get Newman at 18 OR 17...
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Never know. NO and Dallas might trade.
Guest Tyler McClelland Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Maybe, but you're not gonna get a top tier, 3 time all-Pro LB for Dallas' pick.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I need linebackers badly, but there isn't going to be any worth taking with my first pick.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Im pretty sure that the Raiders will trade up and try and get Andre Johnson, but I question where he would end up. Im betting the 6th pick to Arizona..
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I think Houston will grab Andre Johnson.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Hmm.. I guess thats possible too. I thought of Arizona first because they lost Boston, and Sanders (who probably will sign with the Ravens, but thats probably not a good thing) Dang..trading up to the 3rd pick would be something.. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I need linebackers badly, but there isn't going to be any worth taking with my first pick. Not a fan of Terp E J Henderson I suppose.. I haven't heard a lot about him in draft talk, but hes an awesome player..because of the lack of any hype I dont figure he'll go in the first round..
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 16, 2003 He'll probably be gone by 29.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 16, 2003 The Cards are planning on going for defensive help aren't they? I can't say I follow them too much.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 16, 2003 The Cards are planning on going for defensive help aren't they? I can't say I follow them too much. You'd think theyd go after WR since they don't have one on their roster right now that I could name off the top of my head without looking, but I suppose if Andre Johnson isnt there at 6 they probably wouldnt waste a 6th pick on the 3rd best WR in the draft. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 16, 2003 They are one team that definitely needs to trade down. Out of 22 positions there are probably 21 they need to fill.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 16, 2003 He'll probably be gone by 29. Yeah, if he's still there by then somebody made a mistake.

That's what I would do, but from what I've heard the Cards are looking in a different direction. They don't exactly have the best track record.
