Notes: High school and college sprinter. Ran an NCAA-qualifying 21.06 seconds in the 200 meters in the spring of 2002. Caught seven passes for 99 yards as a true freshman in 1999. No. 3 wide receiver in 2000 and '01. Caught 17-198 and one touchdown in 2000 and 38-712-7 in '01. Orange Bowl MVP vs. Maryland in '01 with 10-170-2. Team's go-to receiver in '02, when he caught 64-1,000-8 despite missing nearly three full games with a knee injury suffered at the start of the Georgia game in November. Missed Senior Bowl with deep thigh bruise, but had strong week of practice.

Positives: Excellent character and competitor. Good size and very good speed. Sprinter who has the speed to get deep and to make a big play. Catches the ball very well and does a very nice job of adjusting to the poorly thrown ball. Smart and alert player who adjusts to coverage and helps his quarterback out. Is tough and strong, will catch in a crowd and will take the ball away from the defender.

Negatives: More fast than quick and lacks great suddenness. Does not play to his track times. Is not a very shifty or elusive runner after the catch. Takes choppy steps. Admits he lacks self-confidence at times.

Summary: Should be the first senior receiver drafted and should have a fine future in the NFL.

Although I don't think the Pats will actually go this route (they may even trade this pick to go up a few spots, IMO) they really need a fairly big and quick target for Brady to throw to. Seeing that they really haven't done much in FA to fix this, I guess they'll use the draft.

Finally...and the guy I've been looking at all weekend is still there!

With the 20th pick in the TSM Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select Kevin Williams, DL, from Oklahoma State.

From ESPN.com...

Vital statistics: 6-feet-4 7/8, 304 pounds, 4.82 in the 40.

Numbers game: After a redshirt season, started in 43 of 46 games over the ensuing four years, and kept improving every campaign. Tackle and sack numbers literally improved every season, and he totaled 160 tackles and 18 sacks for his career. Had career-best 61 tackles and seven sacks in '02.

Upside: Long arms and even longer on potential. Combine workout just blew the scouts away. Runs well for a big man, has nice quickness, and really good feet that get him away from the trash and into a playmaking position. Good closing speed. Strong enough in the hands to win many of the in-fighting wars. Has three children and appears very motivated to provide for his family.

Downer: Despite his size, actually looks a little lean, and might not have the natural bulk teams want at tackle these days. A little stiff and doesn't yet play with pad level and leverage. Still needs some pass-rush moves, since he won't get it done with quickness alone.

The dish: A late bloomer who really turned heads in the postseason. Might be best suited to playing the strong-side end spot, since so many teams lack a legitimate 300-pounder at the position. Has worked hard and it will pay off with him being a first-round selection.

This is exactly what the Broncos need. Williams will give Denver a pass-rushing lineman, who is versatile enough to play the interior as well as end. A tremendous pick this late in the first round.

No kidding. I hate when people do that during fantasy drafts as well. you pick two picks later with a sleeper in mind and everything then someone comes along like "I am surprised Player X is still available" and they go immediately afterwards.

Numbers game: Won Morris Trophy as the best blocker in the Pac-10. Started 23 games at right tackle over the past two years. Plays the piano and is an honorable mention academic All-American. Has 35-1/2 inch vertical jump.

Upside: He's got the long arms that are needed for great pass-blockers. His huge frame probably can add more pounds, which will help make him a better run-blocker. He's got the rare combination of great athletic ability and technique.

Downer: Maturity. Harris is so intelligent that some teammates have a hard time relating to him. Consistency is another question mark. He's so much better than those he's blocked that sometimes he doesn't give everything on every play.
