Both are among the 50 worst albums I've ever heard, were I to make a list. So..incredibly...boring. Godsmack is just more "go away" shit, and Linkin Park I've already discussed on here ad nauseum. Gayer 311. 'Nuff said.

When I don't hear some idiot trying to "flow" or whatever it is rappers do, I have to at least kind of nod in approval. As it is, no complaints from me. They're my guilty pleasure and I hide the albums whenever anyone I respect comes to my house but I'm a sucker for generic unoriginal hard rock. They are the new AC/DC in the fact that they will make the same album for years to come and it will always sell respectively.

NEITHER are particularly talented, but they will continuosly more or less make the same album again and again and always have good sells for some time. I don't think they're necessarily the best generic hard rock band ever but they have sold pretty huge numbers on every album and in the end, most people hate creative and ever changing bands, they want a generic hard rock band who will continuosly make catchy songs. THAT is why I think Godsmack will be around for a long time and compared them to AC/DC. AC/DC's sound will never change. Neither will Godsmack. They're both masters of putting out generic albums with 2 or 3 songs that catch the common fans ear. Thats where the comparison comes from.
