Guest BobBacklundRules Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Alright so im sitting here on the computer when I here Chuck Norris talk about heels so I turn to the T.V. and I see Chuck, Mickey Rooney and that black guy at a "Galactic Wrestling" show. The heel comes out with everyone booing and it's your typical stereotypical portrayal of wrestling on a television show. Then "The Avenging Angel" makes his way to the ring via HBK zip line and to everyones suprise the safety line snaps and the next scene is "The Angel" hitting the canvas. There's a commercial and then show returns showing "The Angel" being covered and carried away while Mickey Rooney says "He was like a son to me." This royally pissed me off and I need to tell all of you because it's an obvious spin off of a true tragedy and it makes me sick that writers had to use this story to get their paychecks. This show is a re-run and I don't know if this has already been posted because I doubt I was a member of TSM when this show first aired.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 17, 2003 It actually aired shortly after the Owen incident...within a year at least, probably sooner.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 17, 2003 um...what's the big deal? Shows like Law and Order often use real life cases or "tragedies" to inspire storylines.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 What's the big deal? Why get so pissed off over one episode of a show that's been off the air for years?
Bored 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 The really story here is why in the world is someone watching Walker Texas Ranger?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Remember when Walker re-runs beat Nitro in Ratings? How sad is that?
Guest snuffbox Report post Posted April 17, 2003 I didnt see it. I dont give a shit about the Walker show. But any disrespect to people like Owen does make me sick. But, as far as I know, Chuck Norris is a pretty good guy..so Im not sure where/if any, blame should go here. Maybe it just still bothers me to be reminded. Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Wasn't Chuck also Involved with WWF once? Yeah, he reffed Taker/Yoko from Survivor Series '94.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 He didn't ref the match. He kept watch on the outside so wrestlers wouldn't interfere like they did at the Rumble.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Wasn't Chuck also Involved with WWF once? Yeah, he reffed Taker/Yoko from Survivor Series '94. Was also in attendance at WrestleMania VII and did a run-in for Goldberg (along with Jean-Claude) on a Nitro held in Texas. I gotta say - I used to love the poorly sung theme song. "The eyes of a ranger are upon you Anywhere you go, he's gonna see When you're in Texas look behind you ...Cause that's...where the ranger's...gonna be" I think the writers stole that from wrestling too. Originally it went something like "If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, GA ... you better read the signs, respect the law or you'll be serving HAAAAARD TIIIIIME!" Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 18, 2003 But any disrespect to people like Owen does make me sick. How exactly is this considered to be disrespect towards Owen Hart? If you find this to be disrespectful to Owen Hart then you better start bitching about Law and Order and anything else that uses storylines inspired by "tragedies".
