Guest wwF1587 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 i was at CDUniverse.com and went to keyword WWE.. and of all the dvds they had selling and coming soon one that caught my eye was called "WWE From The Vault: Shawn Micheals" coming June 24... anyone know anything about this..
Guest mesepher Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 if it is anything like the Hulk DVD I am soooo there~!!!!
Guest RedJed Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 It would be a smart marketing idea to do this type of DVD at least once a month with a certain star (assuming they are DVDs featuring career highlights, etc) since they got damn near every notable name from past and present in WWE right now more than ever. They could make a killing off DVD sales if they did this right.

There is so much potential of great DVDs to be released, I would like to see: Austin, Hart, RVD, Booker T, Benoit, Guerrero, Angle get the best of treatment of 3 DVD career sets.
Guest RedJed Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 I still get baffled on the potential that hasn't been even approached yet on doing archived DVDs of major WWE, ECW, WCW events of the past. I know alot has to do with the WWF logos with older shows, but theres no excuse to not take advantage of the old WCW/NWA shows.
Guest Choken One Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Ric Flair is the BEST thing for Vince to use... HHH will push for a Two DVD treatment... Flair never wrestled in the Scratch Logo years, so they Use him all they want... Just give us a 2 Hour long Flair Interview with NWA footage and promos... And Give us at least 10 Matches...
Guest bravesfan Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 It's being released on the same day as Backlash 2003 is as well.
Guest Choken One Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 I can't even imagine the Revisionist history we'll get... Wonder how much of Montreal will be PLASTERED on that DVD? Seriously...Give us 20 Matches... Buncha Promos and we're happy fuckers...
Guest bob_barron Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 A Shawn Michaels DVD? Well if I never need toilet paper- I'll pick it up
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 as long as it has some pre-1994 Shawn matches, I'm buying it
cawthon777 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 I like HBK but my favorite era of his was 92-94. If I don't get early HBK matches against Jannetty, Bret, or freaking Virgil - then I don't know if I want it.
Guest Nevermortal Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 A Shawn Michaels DVD? Well if I never need toilet paper- I'll pick it up Bob, how do you wipe your ass with a DVD?
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 ^^^ my thoughts exactly. I'd buy it, but if they released a Flair DVD, I'd take the day off of work to buy and watch it.
Guest caboose Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 A Shawn Michaels DVD? Well if I never need toilet paper- I'll pick it up Bob, how do you wipe your ass with a DVD? I guess it'd be the same way he wipes his face in Regal's ass. j/k
Guest bob_barron Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Hopefully they'll get around to releasing the Bret DVD soon. That would be awesome. I would also miss class to go and buy a Flair DVD- they should make it like a big anthology set with tons of discs
Guest Mattdotcom Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 He could use the chapter insert, but even that would hurt...
Guest bob_barron Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Well if I was completely out of toilet paper and I had to go NOW- then I would use the HBK DVD. But this only like a worst case DefCon5 like scenario.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 You could always just shit directly ONTO the DVD, and then give it to someone you don't like. Bob: Here, want this DVD? Other person: Sure, did you watch it? Bob: Yeah, it's shitty. *pshh, ba dum bum*

Gert T Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 So what is the deal on using scratch logos on DVD's? Only if marketed nationally? Because you would think a Shawn DVD would have to have the Austin-Michaels WM XIV match.
Guest Choken One Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Not really...Just show Highlights of it during the Interview... So is this the List of people we want to get the Hogan Treatment and in order Ric Flair Bret Hart HBK Steve Austin

Guest Choken One Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 They were actully still using the Box Logo...I don't think the scratch came around until Mid 98...
Gert T Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Come to think of it maybe they were but, its somewhere along the early to mid 98 time frame
Guest eiker_ir Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 at WM 14 the scratch logo was everywere except on the ring turnbuckles
Guest JDMattitudeV1 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 This is a great idea, I agree they should do these for Hart, Flair, Austin and a HHH one of all his 2000 stuff would be awesome too. Can't wait til this comes out.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Technically they did do a best of HHH DVD, That Damn Good
