Guest wwF1587 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 we just got the stuff at my work a few days ago (the funny thing is i cant find it anywhere else) and i like it... it still taste like sprite but with a tropical fruit after taste which is good.. best part is its no caffenine, somethin ive been trying to get off for a while now...
Guest GeneMean Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I picked up a bottle today. Not too bad.
Guest Miss Indy Queen Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 I tried it this weekend and it wasn't bad at all. I've only been able to find it in Manhattan though.
Guest areacode212 Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 really...maybe I'll go look for some after work.
Guest Miss Indy Queen Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Yeah a bunch of the deli's in the city carry them. I went to one by Macy's on 34th but I have seen it elsewhere in the city.
Guest Choken One Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Ive had one of these... Gross...The wife likes it though...
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Eh. It's not bad. I kind of tasted strawberry the most. I'd buy it again.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Ive heard it sucks. I haven't seen it yet. Also, Mt. Dew LiveWire is said to be awful as well. Im gonna try and get a hold of them and give my "Soda Expert" opinion..
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 tropical sprite remix and bacardi orange makes a killer mixed drink
Guest Choken One Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 tropical sprite remix and bacardi orange makes a killer mixed drink *Takes Note*
Guest areacode212 Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 I tried this yesterday. It's quite nasty with a horrible aftertaste that just won't go away. I don't see anyone ever having a craving for this drink. I'm still looking forward to the new Mountain Dew though. Neither the original and Code Red have let me down.

I don't really think that re-mixes of the originals are that great... I didn't like Vanilla Coke or Pepsi Blue. Code Red Mountain Dew is okay. The only one that I really like is the coke w/lemon, or Pepsi Twist.
Guest areacode212 Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 I think the only "remix" of a soda that I truly loved is Cherry 7-Up. And guess which soda I can never find nowadays? Do any of you NYC-area people know where I can get some?
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 I didn't like cherry 7-up, but you did remind me that cherry coke is pretty good too.
Guest Flyboy Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 It's not horrible like Pepsi Blue. It tastes like Sprite with dissolved Skittles.
Guest stardust Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 It isn't too bad. And Areacode, I'm with you--cherry 7-Up ruled. I'll see it at Wal-Mart here every now and then (granted, I live in Texas, not New York), but that's really the only place.
Guest Jubuki Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 It tastes a lot like punch. You either love it or hate it because of that. Pretty much makes it something perfect for mixing with alcohol, particularly rum.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 You can still get 2-liters of Cherry 7-up in Hampton Roads; they sell it at the Food Lion across the street from my house, and I get some everytime I'm home on leave. They also just started selling the 20oz bottles over here at a lot of 7-11's on Oahu.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I think it comes down to a fact that the "tropical fruit flavor" is very synthetic tasting (obviously..cause it is, but it shouldn't be that bad). That probably leads to the aftertaste, which I also got, but not as bad as the all time aftertaste champion Pibb XTRA.. Its not a horrible soda, but its not something that I would go out of my way for (like I did today to try it) to have again. 6 out of 10

Do any of you NYC-area people know where I can get some? "Pathmark" still has it... They have Remix as well, I picked up a 6 - Pack yesterday for 99 Cents.
Guest Choken One Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 I've REALLY gotten into Re-Mix...It's almost on my daily rotation...
Guest Walter Sobzak Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I'd rather drink pee. Not that Sprite Remix is bad, I just like to drink pee. I have a pee-drinking fetish, I guess you could say. Anyone enjoy having a Coke and a Vanilla Coke at the same time, chasing each shot of Classic with a shot of Vanilla? Really brings out the vanilla flavor, if you ask me.

Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Anyone enjoy having a Coke and a Vanilla Coke at the same time, chasing each shot of Classic with a shot of Vanilla? Really brings out the vanilla flavor, if you ask me. I like mixing cherry and vanilla coke together. I'd like to try that, what's the formula for mixing? As for the Sprite Remix, It blows hard. I'd rather Drink 2000 Flushes (Pepsi Blue).
moral suasion Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 It tastes like Sprite with dissolved Skittles. Thats what I thought, and its gross as hell. The "tropical" part is too strong. It's just bad. I couldn't even finish the bottle it was so gross. Mountain Dew Livewire is good.
Guest Nevermortal Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 I like it. It tastes like Sprite with Gummi Bears.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 It isn't that good. I like it....but after a while, it leaves a horrible aftertaste....
Guest El Gigante Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 I had some yesterday and I thought it was good. It tastes like something else I've drank, but I can't put my finger on it.
