Guest Doyo Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/creedsuit1.html APRIL 22--Claiming that lead singer Scott Stapp was drunk or drugged-up during a disastrous December concert, a quartet of Chicago-area Creed fans yesterday filed a class-action lawsuit claiming that Stapp & Co. owe refunds to the 15,000 fans who attended the ragged performance. The Allstate Arena gig was such a disaster, in fact, that the band circulated an e-mail apology acknowledging that, "there has been much concern about Scott's health and we want to assure everyone that he is doing very well and is taking a much needed break at home in Orlando." The band's e-mail concluded on an upbeat note: "For now we hope that you can take some solace in the fact that you definitely experienced the most unique of all Creed shows and may have become part of the unusual world of rock and roll history!" Creed singer Scott Stapp:
Guest Harry Hood Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 As much as I hate Creed, I hate Creed fans even more now... How retarded...it's like suing a baseball player cos he palyed a bad game when you went to see him.
Guest razazteca Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 This should be thrown out of court.
Guest NoCalMike Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 His fans should be happy that he picked up a beer or some cocaine, I mean hey, it might help the band's horrid music making.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I heard that someone had made shirts that said "Even Jesus Hates Creed." If that's true, I gotta get my hands on one.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 It is good to see the legal system being used for such important cases such as this.
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I heard that someone had made shirts that said "Even Jesus Hates Creed." If that's true, I gotta get my hands on one.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Late 1960's: Jim Morrison performs drunk and high out his mind numerous times. The Result: These acts ensure his legendary status even to people who aren't fans of him looong after his death. The year 2003: Scott Stapp performs drunk and high out his mind. The Result: This ONE act gets him sued by his own fans. Conclusion: People suck now

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Dude, if I could sue bands for putting on bad live shows...Mudvayne would be bankrupt, Staind would need to be my butlers just to pay off the debt, and Ra would never be allowed to record another album.

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Merry Mayhem tour. I'm a mark for Rob Zombie, so I needed to see him live at least once. Mudvayne opened.
Guest Renegade Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I heard that someone had made shirts that said "Even Jesus Hates Creed." If that's true, I gotta get my hands on one. I've seen Dexter from the Offspring wear one, though I've never seen it for sale.
Guest swan Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I've never seen it for sale. Google people, google. http://www.cafeshops.com/crisis182b
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Lame. What a whiny group of bitches. I wish they'd get thrown in jail just for wasting the court's time.
Guest snuffbox Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Merry Mayhem tour. I'm a mark for Rob Zombie, so I needed to see him live at least once. Mudvayne opened. They were good before MTV went to their heads...approx 1000x better. I havent gone to see them again since the Dig video came out.
Guest Choken One Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I've seen Creed before and *SHOCK* they do put on a GREAT show...
Guest redbaron51 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I remembered when I picked up my Cousin from a creed concert, and a few of his buddies. They were a bit red-eyed and hungry people... Though, I can see Ed The Sock ripping apart this...
Guest Renegade Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I've never seen it for sale. Google people, google. http://www.cafeshops.com/crisis182b Thats not the one I've seen, it has a cartoony Jesus holding his ears in pain as Creed played in the back.

Google people, google. http://www.cafeshops.com/crisis182b Thats not the one I've seen, it has a cartoony Jesus holding his ears in pain as Creed played in the back. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 "For now we hope that you can take some solace in the fact that you definitely experienced the most unique of all Creed shows and may have become part of the unusual world of rock and roll history!" Why does this quote make me hate Creed MORE?
Guest Choken One Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 It wasnt creed just their Record Agents... Creed is unware of things at this moment... however...Stapp's whackiness oughta draw even MORE people... Seriously, Creed is HUGE...But like Yanni...You can't find those people...
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Wait...there suing because he was drunk or drugged up? ... That reminds me I have to go sue every band I've ever gone to see.
Guest Choken One Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 They are suing for not giving their money's worth...Which is Ambicble but it was 35 bucks for petes sake...
Guest CED Ordonez Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I hate Creed since they've cancelled several appearances in the past here in Sacramento. Their last no-show was the worst because they cancelled playing in Arco and a few days later they still appeared in Alcatraz for a VH-1 special. To summarize: Fuck Creed.
Guest Choken One Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 That was during Stapp's Injury...If you notice on the Alcalatraz thing...He pretty much just stood there...Not what Stapp does Normally...
