Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 24, 2003 Anything into oil! The above link will take you to the article, and it's pretty damn interesting. It amazes me at times what we can come up with, this is just crazy. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest EricMM Report post Posted April 24, 2003 This is just really really cool recycling. I'd love to see it take off, biomass hydrocarbons are better than mined/drilled hydrocarbons. Keep the hydrocarbons UNDERGROUND and out of the atmosphere. This looks really helpful and I hope it gets used a lot!

Guest Powerplay Report post Posted April 24, 2003 If this is true, doesn't this make Oil a renewable energy source in a sense? And plus it takes off more of the power the Middle East holds over us. Please oh please work...
Guest EricMM Report post Posted April 24, 2003 No, it's not renewable, it's recycling, and no recycling is 100% renewable. Gas used to create energy is going bye bye, we can only turn waste into more oil. This might help with our landfill problems, actually with biomass, I dunno how much oil they can make. If they're using turkey, well, general crops would be quicker energy. Maybe they can concentrate plant matter into oil at some sort of reasonable rate. But this is already possible people... Most cars refuse to run on ethanol though, too heavy Certainly it would be easier to provide crops for oil instead of mining, since plants renew yearly whereas mines dry up. And if it's part of the natural carbon cycle it won't add to pollution. I'm all for it, so far.
