Thanks again to all who voted. Maybe vote totals can pick up as we hit the nitty gritty. Please mark your picks clearly. Results of the last round are below the template for this round

 

Allman Brothers

Allman Brothers tied the Guess Who at 5-5, but move on due to having the highest vote total of the first two rounds combined 11-10

 

The Band defeat Bad Company 7-3

 

Crosby, Stills Nash and Young defeat Kansas 9-1

 

Blue Oyster Cult defeat Blood, Sweat and Tears 8-2

 

Stevie Ray Vaughan tie Huey Lewis and the News 5-5, move on due to having the higher vote total in the past two rounds 11-8

 

The Steve Miller Band defeat Supertramp 7-3

 

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band defeat The Doobie Brothers 7-3

 

Monkees defeat George Thorogood and the Destroyers 7-3

The only hard choice there was the last one. But I decided I prefer Seger's solo stuff more than with The Silver Bullet Band, so I gave it to The Monkees.

How come the battle of the "second tier" bands is still going and not the "real" battle of the bands? I don't remember ever seeing a second round of that other battle thing.

I would say the guy just scrapped it, while I am a persistent sum bitch. This one is actually going better than my classic t.v. tourney in the other folder now.

 

And since this is getting bumped, I'll close voting for this round late tomorrow night unless voting picks up.
