I just noticed that a post changed, but it didn't say edited. I then noticed when editing a post of my own, that we can apparantly choose whether it says edited or not.

 

Since when can we do this?

 

And do the Communist levels of historical revisionism possible with this bother anyone else? Theoretically, I could change my viewpoints on EVERYTHING, and no one would know. Well, they couldn't prove it, anyway.

I just found it odd that something like that would be changed. What's the deal? Did the admins just want to do this, or is it a new feature in the boards?

And I just realized it's quite possible this has been going on since the board started, and I just never noticed. In any event, I'd like it cleared up, if someone wouldn't mind.

Actually, I'd prefer it to always have the "Edited by..." legend at the bottom too, but a couple of people requested that we switch it off.

OK...I just installed a mod that disables the "Edited by..." line at the end of your posts, as long as you edit the message within the first 10 minutes of posting. So, that should give you all enough time to catch & correct any little spelling/grammar mistakes you make.

I'm not sure on the exact wording, but I'm pretty sure that as long as the "house" isn't taking a percentage of the earnings gambling is legal.
