Review of wwf forced entry

Recommended Posts

Guest Mr.Perfect

I finally finished downloading the whole CD and have listened to it throughout the whole week. Anyway here's what I thought of each song, ofcourse using a scale of stars and we all know and love.

1. Drowning Pool (The Game)

Good beat, bad hook, lyrics are pretty average, the song is at its best when no one is singing.

***

2. Kid Rock (Stacy Kibler)

This song tries hard to recreate the magic of the original but falls flat on its face, the sad thing is is that I like Kid Rock

1/2*

3. Creed -Young Grow Old

U don't have to wonder why this song was not realesed in America, its not because its good.

**

4.Distubed (Austin)

Good Remix

****

5. Limb Bizkit-Rollin(Undertaker)

Either u like Limb Bizkit or u don't, there is no in between, I like em. The song may be played out, but I can live with it.

***

6. Our Lady Peace-Whatever(Benoit)

My second favorite song on the CD, which is surprising b/c I have never heard of the group. Its a great mix that maintains a strong portion of the original song. I hope Benoit comes out to this song when he comes back.

****1/2

7.Rob Zombie-Never Gonna Stop(Edge)

The strong beat carries Rob's average vocals

***

8.Breaking Point-One of a Kind(RVD)

The best song on the CD.

*****

9Marylin Manson-Beautiful People(smackdown theme)

This mix is alot better than the original and is tolerable.

**

10.The Union Underground-Across The Nation (TEST)

Sounds nothing like tests new intro, (I might of downloaded the wrong version, but its the only version that I found) The song is average.

**1/2

11.Sevendust-Break The Walls Down-(CHRIS JERICHO)

Incase u have wondered why Y2J does not come out to this song is becasue he would get laughted off the #### stage(even more than he already does).  This song needs more work.

*

12.Saliva-Dudley Boyz (DUDLEY BOYZ)

Better than I expected, good hook.

**1/2

13.Monster Magnet-Live For The Moment(HARDY BOYS)

This song is garbage, please don't listen to it to it.

Dud

14.Stereomud-Raven(RAVEN)

Has the RAW Intro beat in the backgroud, to much yelling though.

*1/2

15.Neurotica-Ride Of Your Life

To heavy formy tastes

*

16.Cypress Hill "Just Another Victim" (TAZZ)

This is how a remix should be done, Joey Styles comes on at the end and talks about what a badass TAZZ and the TAZZ mission is. The lyrics stay on the subject matter (tazz) and reiterate why u used to like TAZZ.

****

17.  Dope-No Chance In ####-(Vince)

Its not hard to fugure out that vince will continue to come out to the original version.  This version sounds like a grundge remix of a rock song(thats not a good thing).

*

18.Boy Hits Car-Lovefurypassionenergy-(LITA)

Sounds like a country remix at first, but after the intro the person singing is just annoying.

*

There's my reviews, overall I would give the CD a thumbs in the middle, slightly recommended. The RVD, Austin, Tazz, and Benoit songs really carry the CD.

Dope and Breaking Point make that CD tolerable for me. The remix of "The Beautiful People" is subpar compared to the original (a hard rock classic), and most of the other songs are just filler that sound too generic. Hey, it's Dope...to me, they can do no wrong.

Joey Styles?

And btw, Our Lady Peace is a pretty big band, they come out of Canada.

Yeah, I'd say that OLP is probably the second most played Canadian band on the radio in Canada (right after the Tragically Hip).

I have a theory...please feel free to agree or disagree as you please...

If you're not shit in American, then you're not shit anywhere else.

This theory applies to mainstream music only, as I know Germany, Norway, Sweden, and Japan all fucking live, eat, sleep, and breathe metal.

The thing that makes me mad is that Canadian bands feel that they have to be big in the US to be anything in the industry.  I mean, if you go platinum in your home country, but no one in another country knows who you are, does it matter?

That's what I mean, treble, in a sense. Most bands are considered nothing if they don't have a hit in the US.

Personally, I'm not fond of anything Canada has produced musically aside from Devin Townsend's projects and Annihilator, but that's me...

There's a lot of good Canadian bands out there, but that is also weighed down by the crap that is made just to fill MuchMusic's and radio station's Canadian Content quota (i.e.  Has anyone ever heard of the girl band "Bliss"?  I'd be shocked if they've sold one single album).

Neil Young is Canadian.  That alone makes the country's musical output worth something.

Not that I'm implying that I'm a fan of hers or anything, but isn't Kylie Minogue supposed to be pretty huge everywhere else but here?

I downloaded "One of a Kind", and I thought it was pretty good. But it sounds like I'd have to do a lot of rearranging with Cool Edit Pro to make it sound the way it does when RVD walks out.

well any CD that uses a Drowning Pool version of a song over a Motorhead version has problems

and Lazarus, you forgot Poland, I know a few kids from there and they talk of Metallica as if they were the second coming of Jesus

"If you're not shit in American, then you're not shit anywhere else"

guh?

1) not true

2) who gives a shit? why does it matter if a band is 'big' or not?

back to 1) - several bands/performers from around the world are big in many countries, but not in the US - Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Manic Street Preachers, Paradise Lost, Keith Caputo, Ash, the Gathering, Lhooq, Midnight Oil, In Flames (metal is much bigger in Europe)....

WWF Forceable Entry (is it called the same thing in the US?) that title sounds like "WWF Rape"

I shouldnt have bought this, but I have all the other WWF cds, and old habits die hard. Not a solid overall disc.

Drowning Pool "The Game"

-****

absolute shit. I had to listen to this live at WMX8. ugh, people were booing and chanting "this song sucks" during the performance.  Why would they even bother trying to outdo the Motorhead version?  I hope it was HHH himself that struck it down from ever being used again.

Kid Rock "Legs"

***1/2

I actually dug this. I dont really give two shits about Kid Rock, but by this example I'd be willing to pick up a Kid Rock cover album.  He actually puts some passion into it and not clutter it up with his own dumbass lyrics.

Creed "young Grow Old"

DUD

I never made it the whole way through. Just another ho-hummer from teh worlds worst major rock band.

Disturbed "Glass Shatters"

***/12

Doesnt have the same power it does over the TV, but works as a wrestling theme, and stays close enough to the original.

Limp Bizkit - "Rollin"

**

I hate Limp Bizkit, and am really annoyed by it by now, but for Limp Bizkit's and this discs standards, its not the worst.

Our Lady Peace - "Whatever"

*****

This was the only reason I got the disc, as Live Audio Wrestling previewed this song months ago.  Great stuff.

Rob Zombie - "Never Gonna Stop" (Remix)

*

Way to go Rob. Not only did you release a shitty album recently, but your remix is even worse. The last thing we need is more "yeah"s in a Rob Zombie song.

Breaking Point - "One of a Kind"

***1/2

The singing in this song is a bit lame, but the chorus and music are good

Marilyn Manson - "Beautiful People" (Remix)

***

as good as the original

Union Underground - "Across the Nation"

DUD

Bor-ing

Sevendust - "Break the Walls Down"

*

This could have been good it were slower. This doesnt really fit Jerichos' personality the way the Motorhead/HHH thing does, and I hope we never EEEEVer have to hear it on TV. Too bad, since Sevendust are usually a decent rock band.

Saliva - "Turn the Tables"

***1/2

They played this song at WMX8 and it was much better there, but passable here.

Monster Magnet - "Live for the Moment"

**** for the song

-**** for the theme

This is SUPPOSED to be a Hardyz theme, and sounds nothing like the original, its just a song with the hardyz slogan. This song would never work as a wrestling theme and MM should have problably stuck to the assignment, but the song itself is stronger than most of the disc.

Stereomud - "End of Everything"

*

Disappointing. Members of this band used to be in the fine band known as Life of Agony.   Ravens original theme is a much better song both as a wrestling them and an individual song.

Neurotica - "Ride of Your LIfe"

*

I was hoping this'd be good since I used to know Kelly Schaefer of this band from his old band, but sorry Kelly, your new band sucks. Atheist RIP

Cypress Hill - "just Another Victim"

***

NOt the best or worst Cypress Hill song. Still like Tazz's old theme better, but this isnt embarrassing or anything

Dope - "no Chance"

-***

Terrible. Dope are one of the worst bands on a major label, anywhere.

Boy Hits Car - "Lovefurypassionenergy"

**

M'eh

Finger Eleven - "Slow Chemical"

***1/2

an okay track, and the overall best translation of a theme on the disc.  Kanes them on the Aggression disc and this disc has proven to have the most possiblities to play with.

Overall: Thumbs in the middle, leaning down.  Very inconsistant and when its irritating, its really irritating. Probably the worst thing about it is people screaming wrestlers names in the middle of the theme. it sounds embarrassing.. like when 7dust so snidely say "jerich-cho" like they were uttering "muthafaka" or something... or when Stereomud do their long "Raaayvveeeen" squeal. that stuff sucks. just sing the damned song.

Grab the better tracks off of the Net if you can, and save your money.

Benoit's theme is the ONLY reson to get this CD. Quite possibly one of the best theme's I've ever treated my ears to.

I wasn't impressed by Benoit's music or RVD's music either. I think the Album is a waste of money.

Is Finger Eleven's Slow Chemical a hidden track or something? Amazon didn't list that song but when I saw it at Music World, it had the song listed on the back of the cd case.

Apparently, Goon only read my "if you ain't shit in America..." part of the post...

Our Lady Peace is probably the most overrated rock band I've heard of in a long time. Most people I know orgasm over them, especially Canadians, but they seem so...GENERIC.

Breaking Point definitely makes that CD.

Our Lady Peace did a great theme for my favorite wrestler. I don't really know their stuff, but that'll be cool to hear when he walks that aisle.

The Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson remixes mostly suck. I'd rather have Edge's real music. Most of the album is ok, but nothing that exciting. I bought mine for the wrestlemania dvd that it came with at Best Buy, but I had that one anyways.

And Neil, Nickelback and Rush are three awesome Canadian bands.

It's not just Canadian bands...

...the Beatles, Stones and a ton of other British rock bands of the older generation came To the US and made a ton of money.

I'd say that has a great deal to do with why bands come to the US...we'll buy almost anything...and there is a lot of money to be made.

FYI,

The Union Underground "Across the Nation" song is the theme behind the new WWF Raw.

And yes, Kane's new theme was advertised on WWF Raw and is supposedly on Forceable Entry....supposedly.
