Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 28, 2003 *groan* Another word for "Chris Jericho Appreciation Night". The WWE hasn't a clue how to set up feuds anymore. I am waiting for "Kevin Nashes Haircare Hotel" w/ special guests HHH and HBK.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Heh I can't wait.... Jericho needs to get away from the second bananna Christian like position he was with HHH for the past month and a half.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 28, 2003 This could be cool. Hell, If they just show Jericho brushing his teeth, it will still be the HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT!

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 28, 2003 No, it sounds like Jericho is going to be appreciating himself and then Goldberg will come in and spear him thus setting up their feud.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Still...A Jericho promo is worth it right? Why not? Hasn't one 0f the best old school ways of starting a fued was for the Heel to make fun of the babyface and the Babyface to attack him and then The Heel run his ass around the face and lay down at the big blowoff? Why can't they do that herE?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 28, 2003 They just did it with Goldberg and the Rock fer christsake. This "Highlight Reel" is pointless, I don't care if it's 'entertaining' because in the end it has no substance to it and therefore the crowd won't CARE about it or the feud it sets up. I mean, jesus christ, they have no idea how to set up feuds any more. WWE Writer #1: Ok, so the brass wants Jericho vs. Goldberg, how are we going to set it up? WWE writer#2: Hhmmm.... How about.... Jericho spills coffee on Bill? WWE writer #1: Great idea! Writer #3: Didn't we already do that with Jericho and Kane. W2: Shuddup You. W1: No no no, he's right. Ok, we need another idea. W2: How about Goldberg gets a Japanese Shampoo commercial that Jericho really wanted? W1: Excellent! W3: We did that one last year with Edge and Booker. W2: I've had it up to here with your stupid memory. The fans won't remember that! W1: Hmm... Let's think of something different. W3: Ok, Jericho's entertaining right? W1: Right. W2: Uh... I dunno about that... He's mildly entertaining... on a mid card level... certainly nothing extraordinary. W1: Entertaining... Why don't we just put him in the ring for 15 minutes and talk about nothing, waste time that could be given to wrestling, and then in the end have Goldberg come out and spear him. W3: Sounds good. W2: How about Nash comes in and powerbombs him and THEN Goldberg spears him? W1: No, Nash already did that too. Lots of times. W2: He could do it again! W3: Well, it will take up a lot of time, time that could be used to developing new stars and elevating some guys to top spots to contend for the title, and it wouldn't really *do* anything for Jericho or Goldberg, I..I...I W2: I love it. W1: Ok, so it's done. Jericho's "highlight reel" is happening tonight. W3: Oh brother. W2: Good call Steph. W1: Thanks Hunter.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Again...If it gives Jericho 15 minutes to Speak...What harm does it do?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 28, 2003 15 Minutes that could be given to actually *do* something? Lots of Harm. Time is not expendible - Jericho is already a joke to the fans, fans know he is entertaining, now how about they do something where fans take him SERIOUSLY for a change? Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted April 28, 2003 I'd love it if Jericho came out during a Goldberg promo and said "Hey, remember me? Oh that's right you probably don't because you didn't think I was good enough for your time."
