A Question to the serious Puro watchers

It seems to be the Japanese populace have more respect and admiration to their wrestlers than does Americans. US wrestlers do their promotions in the states and the fans recognize it as entertainment and them as physically technically sound professional entertainers, but in anything else but wrestling, they wouldn't give two craps over what they think about topics. And as for Public Offices Only Ventura seem to be successful in holding a Political Position, and the Political big wigs and Talking heads on shows bashed him for his Wrestling past, (even though he was very qualified as a Mayor and had military experience)

in Japan my meager knowledge is that Inoki and now Sasuke was elected to positions of the Government. Do the Japanese people take these guys more seriously? and how many others have taken seats in places of Power?

Hiroshi Hase and Atsushi Onita also have roles in the government.

Can't really answer anything else definitively, though.

We're trying to catch a wrestler in this here stream!

They are looked at as more legit athletes over there. So I

guess their chances of being elected would be more similar

to that of a baseball player over here.

Speaking of political wrestlers. Apparently Mr. Pogo didn't make it into office this year. I guess the other delegates didn't feel like having a sickle stuck in their forehead whenever a disagreement arose.
