Guest swilk Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I guess Bill doesn't have that much creative control. His new music is horrible! How is that supposed to give off any impression that he is invincible? It doesn't intimidate anyone! Why does the E do this shit? Booker T, Steiner, Flair? They didn't screw those ones up that bad, but this just sucks! In closing: Goldberg's new music

Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I think by beating The Rock that was supposed to be his "I'm good enough for WWE" match. Now they're trying to develop a new personality for him rather than reminding everyone of WCW constantly.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 At least it doesn't start with "YOOOOOOU'RE NEXT!!" damnit, you just jinxed it they did take away Flair's "Whoo!" quote, and I'm happy about that
Guest RedJed Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Making him different from his WCW run is going to be the downfall of his run.........they used him great this week on Raw in situations that focuses on his strengths from WCW. But other than that, they have really blew it with how they have had him booked. They think adding the stupid WWE elements of "character development" (like fucking comedy skits with Goldust) is making him a more multi-dimensional character or something, but the fact is that doing that to every worker in the company then exposes weaknesses. F'n idiots. Changing the music made no sense really. They take away a totally familiar music entrance in wrestling, with a totally watered down rehash of it. If they are just being cheap and dont want to pay fees to use it (if they even have to) then they should do it across the border with everyone else. Theres no reason to keep using Hogan's Hendrix entrance either if this is the case.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Man, that new song really...really sucks. I can barely stand to listen 2 it.

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 30, 2003 The Goldberg theme is stock music. I've heard it other places than WCW, and even if it wasn't stock music, Vince owns all the WCW trademarks and themes, so there wouldn't be any legal problems.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I like the new music a lot more.

They use it on the History Chanel all the time. The Hardyz music was stock too and they used it for like 5 years. This is just stupid beyond words.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 30, 2003 So his nazi march theme is no more? There can only be one nazi in WWe...
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted April 30, 2003 The nazi death march was one of the few things i liked about Goldberg, the WWE just have to mess up every little thing they can these days.
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted April 30, 2003 They change everything, and not just the WCW guys. For instance.... HBK got a new video and I swear they did something to his music, more base or something. Nash has had, what, 3 new songs since he game back 2-3 weeks ago? Booker's music was changed a bit from his WCW music; the opening yes/no part was taken out. I know there are others, but I can't think of them. Incidentely, anyone else notice that HBK has a unique video in Smackdown SYM?
Guest Si82 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 That music was bloody awful, it killed his entrance. His WCW theme was far better and fitted his gimmick a lot better than the shite he comes out to now. The WWE need to decied on if they are gonna try something new with Goldberg (bad idea in my mind) or stick with his lone-wolf killer gimmick that worked so well in WCW. I mean what was the point in point out his WCW winning streak in the opening video when no reference was made previously or after? Mind you WWE and logic don't seem to go together. Why else would they have out there for 15 minutes and totally expose the guy? As for HBK... I don't like the guy but I don't see why they changed his video when it only had clips of him in recent months instead of his old one which had some cool old footage in it. Guest Cerebus Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I always thought that Goldberg's opening was what made his character what it was...changing it the way they are doing it does not bode well....
