Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 (edited) SJL WRATH CARD -- MAY 4, 2003 Venue: Nassau Colliseum, Long Island, New York Due Date: Sunday, May 4, 2003, @ 5 PM EDT Send Promos & Marked Matches To: Thoth OPENING PROMO OF GOLD~! Description: Well, coming off the moderately successful SJL Bringin' the Funk! PPV, Crow has managed to hold onto the SJL World Championship in a nailbiting Hell in a Cell match against Sean Atlas. We're told Crow has requested this time early in the show to talk about his next two contenders, Manson and Va'aiga, and tell the world exactly what he thinks of them! Send To: Thoth #1 CONTENDERSHIP - SJL TELEVISION TITLE TABLES MATCH David Blazenwing vs. Syndicate Description: Blazenwing was unsuccessful in winning the TV title at Bringin' the Funk. Don't worry, my formerly masked friend. You've beaten Syndicate once, and you'll get another title shot if you can do it again. But since you've already faced each other, we'll shake things up a little... how about a table match. Rules: DQ and countout are not in effect. You must put your opponent through a table to win the match. Word Limit: 3500 Send To: Tod deKindes SJL TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Charlie "Grappler" Matthews © vs. Leo Breslin Description: Matthews survived three other competitors in finally wresting the TV title away from John Duran. No rest for the weary here as he puts the belt on the line against Leo Breslin, who, though unsuccessful, looked good at the PPV. Rules: Standard. Word Limit: 3500 Send To: 5_moves_of_doom SINGLES MATCH Manson vs. Terry Wayne Description: Manson is the next #1 contender to the SJL World Title, or so I'm told. He prepares himself with a match against the Dark Rebel, who we're giving one more booking as we're not sure if he's still around. Rules: Standard. Word Limit: 4500 Send To: WrestlingDeacon STEEL PIPE CHALLENGE Va'aiga vs. Viktor Tarakanov Description: It's the Badass Maori vs. the Russian Red Rage! These two promising contenders are looking to get hardcore, and here's their chance! But after Va'aiga's devastating injuries at the PPV, will the future World title challenger be able to hold his own against Tarakanov? Rules: No DQ or countout in effect. Though technically a hardcore match, only steel pipes are encouraged as weapons. Word Limit: 4500 Send To: Longdogger_Pete MAIN EVENT HANDICAP MATCH Christian Blackwell vs. John Duran & Kaine Description: John Duran and Kaine are both viable challengers to Christian Blackwell's European title. John Duran lost the TV title at the PPV but is looking to bounce back strong. Here's the deal. If John Duran and Kaine win, then whoever gets the pinfall will get a European title shot on Crimson. If Blackwell wins, then JLCC will choose his next contender, but Blackwell will be allowed to name his own stipulation. Can Duran and Kaine coexist here, or will they be battling amongst themselves for a chance at a win? Rules: Tornado style handicap match - Duran and Kaine do not have to tag in and out. However, they are expected to write separate matches. Word Limit: 5000 Send To: Thoth Edited April 30, 2003 by Longdogger_Pete
Guest Crowe Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 A good card from da Doggah. (Y) The main event will be an interesting encounter, I look forward to seeing how each man writes Duran and Kaine struggling for that pinfall. Oh, and \m/ @ my promo time.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Fun card, given what you've got. Probably should've asked not to mark a match due to MY PPV ME that I've got to write, but meh, the matches are 3.5K each. Like that'll take longer than 40 minutes.
Guest emerald_fusion Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Once again time proves to be my enemy, i'll most likely have to write this in one sitting on the day it's due, but i'll manage to pull something together, the last thing i need is more no-shows to my name.
Guest Tod deKindes Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 3000 for a table match? That seems a little low. Is it ok if I allow an optional extra 500 words? At least to get one extra spot in.
David Blazenwing Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 A Table match! Sweet... I'm not missing the chance to write this! Just a warning: With no DQ in effect, I WILL utilize the sledgehammer during the match! I don't care if it's not in my "character"! (Although after the PPV match, I don't think that will be questioned anymore!)
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Word limit has been increased on the table match, yo'.
Guest hhh6294 Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 I must protest that Steel Pipe Challenge match~! GIMMICK INFRINGEMENT~!!111!!!! Screams Rape
Guest Evolution Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Just so everyone knows, I won't be able to show for Wrath on Sunday. I wasn't anticipating that I would have to get ready so much for the Halo tournament. I might be able to get my match in, but it'll likely be a longshot. I should've asked for the card off or something, but I figured that that in itself would've asked too much since the roster is small enough as it is. Anyways, sorry about this, I'll make sure to show next card, especially if I get stuck in a punishment match.
