Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Stores make ridiculous amounts of money off gift cards because of the number of cards that are never used. At the video store I used to work for, we kept track of the number of the new gift certificates sold for like three years. I'd say that like 15-20% of the certificates were never claimed.
