Mike Tyson had a house in the town I grew up in, but he didn't buy it until he was already champion, so I'm not sure that counts.

Here in Warren, Ohio, the most famous pro athlete was probably Korey Stringer (RIP)

Although not really a sports person(he does play hockey), Dennis Leary is from my hometown. Uh, there are a couple of guys in the Baltimore Orioles farm system that are from the city(Worcester, MA). Other people not quite from the hometown, but close:

John Cena

Rocco Baldelli(Devil Rays)

Mark Johnson(Mets, Pirates, uh some other MLB teams)

Tanyon Sturtz(sp?)

My hometown is Baltimore, which has also given birth to baseball legends like Babe Ruth and Al Kaline. Former Terp and current Wizards guard Juan Dixon is from Baltimore, and even went to my alma mater, Calvert Hall. I now live in Aberdeen, birthplace of the Ripken clan, and now home to a museum and stadium named after the family.

Lesse....I'm from Bellport, NY. Here's some that I can think of:

- Randy Smith (had NBA's consecutive games record until A.C. Green broke it, played for Buffalo, Clippers, Cavs and Knicks)

- Neal Heaton (lives here now, was pitcher for Indians, Twins, Expos, Pirates, Royals, Brewers and Yankees from 1983-93)
