Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted May 1, 2003 . she didn't have to show her tits and her ass to get people to cheer her. She was the definition of elegance... The mere fact she had to turn into the plastic woman complete w/fake bazoongas (which she flaunted with tight shirts) in the 90's to stay a midcard valet speaks volumes about her elegance. EDIT: And now she's dead from a drug overdose. What a lady. if those are your true feelings, why on earth would you want to come HERE and express them? Keep them to yourself and go about your business posting in other topics asshole
Guest Slingshot Suplex Report post Posted May 1, 2003 I'm sad that someone who contributed to my early days of wrestling watching is gone. Savage and Liz were my first true 'must watch' people in wrestling when they hit the WWF in 85. I got to meet her at one of those 'tickets go on sale for Nitro' signings a few years back. It was mostly just pleasantries. People had told me before that she resembled my mom and I never really saw it until that day. As I was standing about 5 people back in line,I thought "Holy shit, she does look a little like my mom". I had her sign my autograph book... an old picture of her on Savage's shoulders (The book is from about 1990-91) and she kinda rolled her eyes at it a bit. Thanks,Elizabeth, RIP
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted May 1, 2003 I actually thought that Liz was really hot in 1999/2000 when she was managing Luger and always wearing that same style dress, just alternating colors. I'm not exactly depressed that she died, as I was never a huge fan of hers. Of course it saddens me to see her die, whether it was drugs or not. Drug deaths just make me think of the person as a fucking idiot for not being able to control the habit, but that doesn't tarnish the many years of enjoyment she gave me. You know what's even more depressing? If Luger comes to the WWE, and it's found out that she was doing drugs in Lex's house, do you not think that it would be turned into an insult if someone's cutting a promo on him? It'll be like Katie Vick, minus the necrophilia, all over again.

Not because I was Liz's biggest fan (as I kid I thought I was) but because that's just too tasteless and crosses the border completely on what I believe is unexceptable I don't see Luger coming into WWE now at all anyway Edited May 1, 2003 by EternallyLazy
Guest Walter Sobzak Report post Posted May 1, 2003 God damn it. This business just sucks. It's like porn with steroids. RIP Liz.
Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted May 1, 2003 I used to have a huge crush on Liz in my younger days. As useless as some of you think she was, she was the centerpiece to some of the best angles in WWE history: Flair/Savage ("She was mine before she was yours Savage...Wooooooooooo!" ) Savage/Warrior and most important of all... THE MEGAPOWERS EXPLODE! RIP Liz
Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted May 1, 2003 Really sucks to hear she's dead, definitely one of the most memorable women in wrestling history. What's even more of a shame though is that early reports are that this was probably an overdose...christ when will wrestlers just fucking learn not to overdose? Guest Banky Report post Posted May 1, 2003 This is unbelievable. Everyone from the old spectrum of wrestling is dying at incredibly young ages. Terribly unfortunate.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 1, 2003 To hear everyone tell it Randy was an asshole to Liz. In more then a couple shoot interviews I've seen and heard there's storys about him locking her up in a closet at house shows durring his matches and not letting her out till he was done and it was time to leave, tons of crap like that. He was insanly jealous over anyone who had any kind of relationship with her...but I can only go by 2nd and 3rd hand news like that.

Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted May 1, 2003 Just sad to know yet another figure from wrestling's past has died young and a drug overdose is the major factor.
Guest papacita Report post Posted May 1, 2003 I'm not gonna act like this is the end of the world or anything, because frankly I've never really cared for Liz, but it's a real shame to see all the people I grew up watching dropping dead right and left. R.I.P.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted May 1, 2003 On a lighter note, it looks like the chances of a Lex Luger return to WWE have been greatly diminished...then again they brought back Jimmy Snuka, so who knows... Seriously, this is all just so unreal to be losing everyone I grew up watching. I mean it seems like at least half of the star from the early 90s when I started watching are now dead. What a sick business. I can only hope that the modern wrestlers have truly cleaned up and aren't using drugs and steroids so we don't have to read all about their deaths 10 years from now. And as mentioned, ironically, Jake the Snake and Scott Hall are still around...

Guest snowfan Report post Posted May 1, 2003 How do Jake Roberts and Scott Hall manage to live while people you wouldn't expect like Curt Henning and Miss Elizabeth keep dying? their drug use is likely so massive if rumors are true that the drugs act like vitamins... Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted May 1, 2003 That's pretty much it. Think of it as an analogy with murder: Jake Roberts and Scott Hall kill someone and then wash their bloodstained clothes at the local laundromat. Liz and Hennig kill someone, dispose of the body, wipe down for fingerprints, etc. For the most part, they're safe with their illicit drug use, though I'm sure a couple brief things were said about Hennig through his career.
