Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 WWE.com is reporting that Dave Batista, who tore his right triceps while working a house show at the beginning of March, fell while running with his wife and re-tore the muscle. Dr. James Andrews, who says the tear is worse than before, performed surgery today on the muscle. Batista will now need an another four months of rehabilitation. He has been fitted with a splint, which he will wear for the next four weeks. Batista originally injured the right triceps while working a match with Randy Orton against the Dudley Boyz in Reading, Pennsylvania on March 1st. Orton also injured his foot in the match, and Bubba Ray Dudley strained his back during the bout. Orton still has yet to return to action. Batista, who wrestled as Leviathan in Ohio Valley Wrestling before being called up to the WWE Raw roster, had been primed for a push as part of the "Evolution" stable with Orton, Triple H and Ric Flair before being sidelined with the injury. Guest saturnmark4life Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Alright, so he sucks, but man, that's a shame. It's not like he's a politicking twat who I can laugh at. If he'd tore his quad, though....hehehe......
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 You know, it seems only these roided-up gorilla have this kind of problem. It seems like it turns your tendons to taffy. Well, I guess Evolution is done for. What's taking HHH and Nash so long to get injured?
Guest BoboBrazil Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I'm sure good ole J.R. would be more than happy to come over and rub some of his famous bbq sauce on it.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Yeah, another untalented hoss goes down......and the children cry.
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 New addition to the WWE style: NO RUNNING!
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Forgive me for this: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA I only do this because the WWE wanted to push him for no reason other than size when they have guys who are over that they shit on. I feel bad for him though.
Guest Banky Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I like Batista, so this is sad. How typical...
Guest DawnBTVS Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 OH MY GOD!!! Triple H tore his quad, HBK hurt his back, Nash tore his quad, Randy Orton is out for his career by injuring his foot and Batista's now out again with torn triceps...don't you see, HHH has been related to all of these guys in one form or another in angles/storylines.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 So...the definition of Evolution is overrated shitbags who can't stay healthy?
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Yet, HHH remains healthy (well, healthy for him) lately. Maybe he had Zenk's gypsy curse taken off him and fed the Injury-Prone Pie to Dave, Randy, and...*gasp*. Don't eat any thing that HHH offers you, Booker or Chris.
Guest razazteca Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 cheap joke of the day.............It looks like Evolution lost its never ending feud vs Charles Darwin.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Another 4 months without having to sit through one of his squash matches. I think the guy has a great look but he bores the hell out of me.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Let Him Go. Thin the Herd a little bit more.
Guest razazteca Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 OVW is the place where WTF moves are done yet get no play in WWE, what was Dave's move? I know Brock had the SSP and Ortan had a German Suplex. Batista had to have more than 3 moves that he learned in OVW why did he not use them?
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Because when you get to the Big Stage, you're in Uber Hoss Mode. I agree with the WWE, leave the high flying stuff to the Cruiser's and Upper Midcarders who will never reach the top (RVD, Rey or Jeff Hardy).
Guest razazteca Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 When your in a company where everybody looks the same and basically does the same match why should I care for this rookie monster? Lariat + Powerbomb = boring
Invictus Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 You know, it seems only these roided-up gorilla have this kind of problem. It seems like it turns your tendons to taffy. Well, I guess Evolution is done for. What's taking HHH and Nash so long to get injured? Steroids increase size and strength quickly, however because the muscle mass is built so quickly, the muscle's integrity is weakened. Thus, the reason all the steroid abusers are perpetually tearing muscles.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I hope it's not his clotheslining arm!
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 When your in a company where everybody looks the same and basically does the same match why should I care for this rookie monster? Lariat + Powerbomb = boring He did a powerbomb? I only remember clotheslines and a powerslam. OH--he had that spinebuster, too. I hope it's not his clotheslining arm! If he just used his healthy arm, I doubt anyone would even notice.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 He did a powerbomb? Not only did he do a powerbomb, he did a SIT-OUT powerbomb. Sigh, I wish every move could be a sit-out move.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Was it wrong of me to laugh at this? I mean, he's out jogging and BOOM, tears his tricep.
Guest evilhomer Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Another 4 months without having to sit through one of his squash matches. I think the guy has a great look but he bores the hell out of me. I was waiting for his first real (non-squash) match before making a final judgement on him. I never imagined he'd be anything more than a standard hoss, but you never know. Hopefully he'll use this time off to do some proper training and get rid of the jelly muscles. He's way to roided up to stay uninjured for long.
Guest NoCalMike Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Sucks for him and injuries are never something to be happy about as a fan, however the longer the fans are without Dave Batista's monster push, the better.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Hey, maybe he can just wear a cast on his arm.....and Orton could wear a loaded foot brace.... It would be like continuing a family traditon through another century!
