What was the last coliseum tape?

Recommended Posts

I heard it was Maximum Impact but then I realized that Summerslam had a CV release as did Survivor Series 97.  I have Rumble 98 which is WWF HV but was the DX PPV on Coliseum or did CV do any 98 PPV's with the WWF like the 2 different Badd Bloods?

I believe the last few were MAXIMUM IMPACT (IYH: Canadian Stampede), SummerSlam '97 (also released by WWF Video), WWF Rampage (Released by WWF home video as Badd Blood) and  finally Survivor Series '97 (never released by WWF video). Those were the last four WWF PPVs released by Coliseum Video. I don't believe that Coliseum Video ever released IYN: Ground Zero (WWF home video did) as I have never seen or heard of it.

The last Coliseum Video was indeed Survivor Series '97. Which I belive is super rare. I've seen that CV go for over $100 on eBay.

Survivor Series is rare...but not $100 rare. Maybe for a factory sealed one, but that's still a longshot.

Lately I've been seeing them go in around the $30-$40 range...which is still pricey.

Why doesn't Coliseum Video make WWF tapes anymore?

I wish Coliseum still did them but I assume it was cheaper for the WWF to do the tapes themselves.

I used to receive Coliseum Video Catalogs from time-to-time, and all their tapes were at least $30-40.  Ouch!  Being 10-12 years old, I didn't have the motivation to fork over that much money for ONE tape when I could just walk to the corner and rent them.

If I knew then what I know now.

I HAVE GROUND ZERO,BUT IT HAS NO DISTRIBUTOR LISTED ON THE BOX OR ON THE TAPE JUST LIKE MY 'CAUSE STONE COLD SAYS SO TAPE.I BOUGHT BOTH OF THEM AT THE 1997 SURVIVOR SERIES HERE IN MONTREAL,I'M ASSUMING THIS WAS THE WWF TRYING TO SEE IF THIS WAS A VIABLE WAY TO SELL THEIR TAPES (THIS WAS ALSO MY FIRST WWF SHOW,SO I DON'T KNOW IF THEY SOLD TAPES AT HOUSE SHOWS OR TV SHOWS BEFORE) .

BY THE WAY MY COPY OF 'CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO IS ACTUALLY MARKED 'CAUSE STONE COLD SAYS SO ON THE CASSETTE'S LABEL,BUT THE BOX SAYS "SAID SO".ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS,OR DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS TOO?

Did Coliseum Video got out of business?

I may be wrong but I have always thought that Coliseum Video just turned into WWF home video...But i just looked at the back of a coliseum tape and they distributed from out of canada so i must have been wrong.

I wish WWF re-released all its old Coliseum Videos back on tape. It would be cool, but as we know WWF doesn't care about its old school fans

The Coliseum videos used to be SO expensive.  You guys remember the adds in WWF magazine, one tape ran $30-$50, it was insane.

That was the age before people bought lots of tapes.  The prices had to come down.

Also I know Coliseum Video released a Wayne Gretzky video in the past so they weren't all just wrestling.
