Guest areacode212 Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Here we are again on the first Saturday of May, and the day after the release of a major superhero movie. It doesn't seem to be as widely-hyped as last year's FCBD, and I still wish that companies like DC gave away two titles (one "all-ages" title, and one from perhaps their Vertigo line) with instead of one, but hopefully it'll be successful enough to warrant FCBD 3 when The Amazing Spider-Man comes out next spring. List of titles is here: http://www.freecomicbookday.com
Guest Karnage Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 What did everyone here get when they went? I got Batman, Way of The Rat and Robocop.
Guest raptor Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I didn't go. I don't think I'm the audience for this, so I'd rather leave the limited free stuff to the people who are just comng into the medium.
Guest areacode212 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Thanks to my laziness, I ended up going late in the afternoon, and missed out on 38 free comics!! Yeah, they said they were giving out 40 different titles when the day started (I assumed they were giving out packs of 1 copy of each to everyone, like they did last year), but by the time I trudged over there, all I ended up with was the Batman Adventures #1 and Ultimate X-Men #1. Damn. Well, at least, my (non-free) copies of New X-Men, The Legion, and Catwoman were all pretty kick-ass.
