According to EA CEO Larry Probst, the company's Redwood City studio will be responsible for the series of games, with the first game to conincide with the release of the first movie in 2005. Also, Nick Earl, general manager of the Redwood City studio for EA, said that the first Superman title would be for multiple platforms. However, the question is: will it be for this round of consoles, or the next-generation consoles that are expected to debut in 2005 or 2006?

I knew that there would be a new Superman movie coming out, but the news that its going to be a trilogy is news to me...

The movie was always a trilogy. It's been common knowledge to everybody that it was a trilogy since the frist draft of the script leaked out several months ago. First one is the origin story, second one is when he returns to Krypton to free his people, third one is some other bullshit. WB has ALWAYS refered to it was a trilogy.

 

It IS hysterical that they sign a video game deal before they sign an actor or a new director. Though it looks like McG is back on.

The trilogy is also the reason no actors would commit to the project. Not even Ashton Kuscher wants to waste ten years of his life playing Superman.

Are you kidding? EA makes great games for any console, they are the best company for making video games, IMHO.

5 years ago maybe they were. The last few years have seen nothing but crappy game after crappy game come from them except for their Medal of Honor PC games. Even the console versions of Medal of Honor have sucked lately.
