I say the best way to determine which wrestler is "better" is to see their matches agaisnt a common opponent. In this case Chris Jericho. I'd say that the feud with Malenko was better but the matches themselves were better against Benoit. So I'd have to say Benoit gets my vote.

Rey only did high flying moves in the last 5 minutes of the match. Before Rey's input, the crowd showed interest.

Heh, I watched it last night. The crowd wasn't necessarily popping for everything, but they where it in much more than you are giving it any credit for.

I can't particulary remember the crowd reaction in this match but I do remember that on average the crowds always seemed to be in the Malenko vs Mysterio bouts.

Exactly. This wasn't Rock-Austin from WM 17 but it wasn't completely dead. Give it some credit.

It wasn't completely dead... they popped for everything Rey did and the finish. Malenkos arm work was yawned through.
