Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 25, 2002 Well, for (it seems) two years Trish has been on TV, and imagining her being the wrestler she is now back in 2000 would be unheard of.
Guest CaptRiker Report post Posted March 25, 2002 areacode, I remember that Bull Nakano-Alundra Blayze and I'm glad someone else does, it was a fantastic match, even better than their Summerslam 94 match in my opinion. Bull Nakano has always amazed me, I remember in that match her doing among many other things, a moonsault, her Queen Angelico stretch and a suicide dive which is amazing for a woman her size. I like the way Molly and Jazz wrestle but if they really want a high level of women's wrestling in the WWF they really need to import some All Japan women. Guest monkey Report post Posted March 25, 2002 I just want to add like just about everyone else that Trish seems to getting better and better. I remember when she valeted for Test and Albert and now I would rather watch a match with her than those two. Also I think EricMM made a good point, the womens champ can go to both shows, Steph has held the title before and it would make it an easy way for the writers to explain why she is on both shows. Please no, no no no no no no. Somebody tell me I am being dumb and it wont happen please.
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted March 25, 2002 It's a very shallow roster to split between two shows. There have been rumours about one of the top Japanese workers coming to the WWF but I forget her name. Victoria,Nidia could be called up which would give them Jazz Lita Molly Trish Jackie Ivory The Japanese woman (I'll look it up) Victoria Nidia Torrie Stacy So from there you have five faces and six heels two of which are non workers. The Champ on both shows and five workers on each show. the match ups would get very stale very quickly. I agree that Jazz has done a lot for it but I can see this being a way for Steph to get on both shows. She loses on Raw has to leave the company. comes in with no explanation or doing the Brian Pillman yellow dog gimmick on Smackdown and pins Jazz. Then makes life miserable for HHH on both shows because she is the only thing that can get a mid carder over.
Guest Report post Posted March 25, 2002 Stephanie isnt that bad. She did have a great No Way Out match with Trish. Torrie is but Stacy is pretty decent. Best recent woman's match was Trish/Jazz where Jazz won the belt. Hell even Stacy and Lita had a good singles match...the one during the Hardy break up. I like the way Molly and Jazz wrestle but if they really want a high level of women's wrestling in the WWF they really need to import some All Japan women. Didn't they talk to some chick when they went to Japan for the tour? What is a Queen Angelica stretch btw? Speaking of Bull, I read somewhere that she was a cokehead. Anyone know the story with that? I thought that was the reason she might of killed herself but then I remembered that was bertha Faye who killed herself. She sucked and was nowhere near as good a fat heel as Bull. Was Bull signed to the WWF for a time or did they have an agreement with some Japan fed? All I've heard is that Nidia is already miles ahead of Victoria...and Victoria has been training longer. I have heard different. I read Nidia was very sloppy in teh ring and Victoria is steadily improving. I think some good indy workers wouyld be better to sign. A month or so ago I saw this girl named Alexis Laree at an indy show and she was pretty good. Shes also superhot so you know the WWF would like that. I was looking up some pics of her on the net and I found out she has a web site. http://alexislaree.com/
Guest notJames Report post Posted March 25, 2002 I don't know what they've been putting in the water cooler in the Women's locker room, but hotdang if they're not pulling out all the stops lately. Their work is starting to overshadow some of the guys! I've tried to keep a positive outlook on the Women's division only because it's pointless to keep trotting out the pudding/mud/gravy matches for the troglodytes to drool over. Wrestling fans should want wrestling. They can get half-naked Barbie Dolls on Temptation Island or whatever crap MTV is doling out. But now I feel justified because they're finally doing something right with the division. Molly needs a personality change. We know she can outwrestle almost all of the other girls, but the cutesy girl-next-door thing won't swing with the viciousness of Jazz, Ivory, and the new and improved kick-ass Trish. And yes, Lita's more green than the Hurricane's outfits. She needs to learn to swing a proper punch, let alone those god-awful headscissors they keep calling Litacanranas. Thanks for the wrestling, grrrrrls!

Riker, yeah, that Nakano/Blayze match seemed to impress everyone who saw it--I remember thinking it was really stiff for a mid-90s WWF women's match. Problem is, that match happened to be on a Raw that featured a major angle that (apparently due to timing problems with USA Network) took place during a commercial break (Sid turning on HBK and powerbombing him in front of an eerily unfazed McMahon), so everyone was going nuts trying to figure out what happened during the break (as I recall, they came back from commercial with HBK lying in the ring with Diesel taking care of him, and they didn't show the footage of what happened until that weekend's Superstars). As a result, that awesome match kinda got overlooked. As for bringing in All Japan Women, well, anything is possible with good booking (Heyman), but it's been hard enough to get the women's division over with wrestlers who can speak English, and Japanese wrestlers have always had a nearly-impossible time getting over in the WWF (Kaientai, Aja & co at that Survivor Series). Tajiri is an exception because he still carries a bit of ECW "street cred", plus the crowd seems to love his stiff kicks. But who knows. If anyone can get foreign wrestlers over, Heyman can, so if he starts getting a major hand in the booking/writing, maybe we'll see some good stuff.
