Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 I think the Dems are really focused on 2008. Sure anything can happen, and they're going to make an attempt to beat President Bush, but they know he's popular so it's not going to be easy.

Guest Choken One Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 Who Cares about votes? I WANNA BE ENTERTAINED! DAMN IT!
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 If Al Sharpton becomes President I'm moving to the moon. I guess that's why everyone has different political views, but Lieberman would be the ONLY Democratic candidate that I'd vote for. Otherwise, I guess I'll go with Bush since he's gonna be re-elected anyway. As for the whole argument that he doesnt approve of media violence, so what, no politician does and its not like hes gonna make an executive order to censor video games or movies. Im much more concered with foreign and domestic policy issues and in those regards I think Lieberman is most rationale. As for the guy who said Dean is slightly conservative? Are you kidding? I've seen a couple speeches by this guy literally yelling and screaming about No More War! like he's Susan Surrandon or something. He's a nutcase...
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 A Bush/Sharpton debate would OWN... yah, azif Bush is going to debate without spoonfed questions. He will weasel is way out of anything having to use his brain. Go see the Bush vs Bush Daily Show thing I linked to a week ago. It's hysterical. Bush as candidate: "Well, I don't think the United States should be running around saying, 'this is the way it's going to be.'" (...) "I don't believe in nation-building" and then they air that classic "I fought Big Hollywood, I fought Big Trial Lawyers.... What was the question again? It was about an emergency, right?" bit.
Guest TheMikeSC Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 And G.W. currently has lower approval ratings than his Dad did at this time. So? Edwards looks acceptable, although he doesn't have a lot of experience, and I'm not sure if a doctor is the best person to run a country. Either one would probably be better than Bush however, I mean shit.. if Democrats are dumb, then this man is a moron. In a perfect universe, either McCain or Powell would win. Or, in a really perfect universe, McCain would run with Powell as VP and win. What in the WORLD makes McCain a "perfect" choice? I assumed his outright assault upon the First Amendment MIGHT turn the blind away from him --- but alas, apparently not. -=Mike
